A Fusion of a Liftime

(During mid day at Shadow's temple)

(Shadow is by himself leaning his head down in thought. He is leaning against one of the walls. He hears some whispers that catches his attention)

(On the left side of Shadow is Mephiles with an evil grin)

Mephiles: Well, hello dear Shadow.

Shadow: What do you want Mephiles?

Mephiles: I could lend you immense power, but only if you listen.

Shadow: What makes you think that I want any of that?

Mephiles: (getting irritated) All I want is a reunion with the beast I was bred from.

Shadow: And what makes you think that I'll help?

Mephiles: (almost under his breath) I don't think you understand the importance of what I want and so I shall show you.

(Mephiles backs up and brings himself to a mist form and goes around Shadow and eventually into him)

(Shadow feels as almost if he was struck hard, and so he is on his knees with a shocked look)

Mephiles: Let's see how well your body does with me around in it. (Chuckles maniacally as it fades)

(Later that day)

(Niki lurks through the temple wondering where Shadow is. She eventually finds him leaning against the wall with eyes closed)

Niki: (curious and has hand holding wrist behind her back) Um, so Shadow, are you okay?

("Shadow", opens an eye but doesn't say anything. His eye is green)

Niki: Did you get contacts or something?

(He just stares at her)

Niki: Well, um, if your not in the mood for talking then I can just go. (Walks backwards till she reaches the other hall)

(The next day)

(Silver and Niki are walking towards the temple)

Niki: I swear something is off with him.

Silver: And you said that he has green eyes now?

Niki: Yes. I don't know if it's contacts or not.

Silver: (eerie) Eh, something is seeming a little fishy here.

Niki: (questions not sarcastic) Ya think?

Silver: Well, we'll find out when we get there.

(An hour later)

(They arrive at Shadow's temple and "Shadow", is in the same position as before)

(Niki is behind Silver about 3 feet)

Silver: Shadow, you alright?
