Sonic Boom Season 3

The Concert

(During the day at school)

(In Ms. Likey's room, there is a circle of kids surrounding the teacher)

Ms. Likey: Ok, everyone have their sheets?

All students: Yes ma'am.

Ms. Likey: Ok, then. Go practice until the show. You can stay after school or you can head home and practice.

(All the kids break from the circle and then the bell rings. Niki and her group stay)

Niki: We are going to own it tonight!

Hanna: (generous) All this stuff that's gonna happen, better be an effort to get the school back on its feet.

Niki: (with a smile) Well, duh.

(Jeffery is kinda in a corner in his own head feeling nervous about the show)

Jenny: Jeffery, what's the matter?

Jeffery: (snaps out of thought) Oh, Uh, I'm just kinda nervous is all.

Niki: (hand on hip) Wait. Why are you nervous? You've sang in front of large groups before. How is this any different?

Jeffery: (holding an arm) Because I'm singing in front of families. I'm used to singing in front of people my age, but I'm... not to sure about singing in front of adults.

Hanna: (eyebrow raised) Well someone has stage fright.

Niki: (gives Hanna a dirty look with her hand still on hip and then turns to Jeffery) Listen, it's okay if you have stage fright. Everyone gets it every once in awhile, but we need you to put on the show. You're the only one who can start it.

(Jeffery looks at the ground having a debate with his mind)

Jeffery: (sighs) Fine. (Looks back up) I'll try.

Niki: (gets excited and then hugs Jeffery) Thank you. (Un-hugs?) But for now we need to get things prepared.

Jeffery: (nods) Right.

(As they settle for the night to begin, Niki is giving people orders to get in place and to do one last rehearsal before the show begins)

Niki: Alright. Is everyone ready?

(All the students give a thumbs up except Jeffery)

Niki: (with slight attitude) Jeffery?

(everyone parts away except Jeffery)

(He just remains silent)

Niki: (sighs and walks up to him) What gives?

Jeffery: (looks to the ground) I don't know if I can do this.

Niki: You can and you will. It's only four minutes you have to be up on stage. How is that hard?

Jeffery: (sighs) I-I just don't-I...

Niki: (sighs of pity) You can do this. Just think if you were singing in front of me the whole time. (grabs his hands) Jeffery you are not going to be alone in this. I'm gonna be up there with you. We have five minutes to get up there. (pauses) We can do this.

Jeffery: (looks back up with a smile) Okay.

Niki: (smiling) Now, go get that headset and get on stage!

(About 10 minutes ago at the ticket booth)

Sonic: (To tails and Silver) Well at least the tickets are cheap.

Tails: Yeah, and I've noticed that their concessions are also cheap. (Blunt look) Niki told me by the way.

Silver: Well, this is my first play I've ever been to.

Tails: (bluntly) I wouldn't necessarily call this a play.

(Back to now)

(Jeffery salutes and then heads off on stage)

(The song is when can I see you again by owl city if you didn't notice the foreshadow from the second episode)

(As Jeffery is walking up on stage the song starts with erratic lights showing off the beginning of the song. As the song fades, Jeffery is walking up on stage. The swir sounds are created by Niki who is dashing in circles around Jeffery and pulls off the clap to get the song started)

Jeffery: Switch on the sky and starts glow for you, (the stage lights get switched off to show the night sky) go see the world cause it's all so brand new. Don't close your eyes cause your future's ready to shine it's just a matter of time, (Niki darts around the stage both up and down and even jumps off at high points to entertain the audience and the light get switched back on) Before we learn how to fly, welcome to the rhythm of night. It's something in the air you can't deny... (Niki does the swir thing again) deny... (Again she repeats the darting) Now I've got to go, life is way to short to take it slow, But before I hit road, I gotta know till then, when can we do this again? Oh oh oh, When can I see you again? Oh oh oh, when can we do this again? I gotta know (know) When can I see you again? (When can I see you again?) Join at the hip, yeah your sidekick needs you. (The scene then goes to Tails who is in the middle of the seatings and then blushes and flops with ears with a smile while also slightly sinking in the chair) Life is a trip down the road that leads you. Look all around at the mountains that you haven't climbed (Behind Jeffery a slight work scene is shown that has a fake carboard mountain and Niki is so climbing to go with the song) It's just a matter of time, (Once again Niki repeats the darting and swir) Before we learn how to fly, Welcome to the rhythm of the night. (Deny) It's been fun but I've got to go, life is way to short to take it slow, but before I hit the road, I gotta know (know) till then, when can we do this again? Oh oh oh, when can I see you again? (The erratic lights are going again and behind the scenes Niki is breathing heavily preparing for her major part. She does the swir and clap) Don't close your eyes cause for future is ready to shine (swiring for this part of the song and instead of clapping she turns Super) it's just a matter of time, before we learn how to fly! Welcome to the rhythm of the night! Something in the air you can't deny! (During this portion of the song, Niki flies around the audience and with barely even a touch gives Sonic and Silver Super abilities as well and so they pull of tricks) So let me know before I wave goodbye! When can I see you again? Oh oh oh When can we do this again? Oh oh oh, when can I see you again? Oh oh oh, When can we do this again? Oh oh oh. It's been fun but I've got to go, life is way to short to take it slow, but before I go and hit the road, (about to the end climax of the song the three Supers pull off a maneuver that spouts out fireworks and then they land slowly) tell me when, When can I see you again? (Jeffery moves his head to end up facing Niki who just got out of Super, face to face)

(The whole crowd stands up clapping as the ones on stage bow)

(After the bowing, Niki gets hyper and hugs Jeffery out of a job well done)

(About 10 minutes later)

(Behind stage, The three Hedgehogs and Jeffery are chatting)

Silver: (hyped) That was amazing! I didn't even know that you could've just barely touched us and then we go Super!

Sonic: (hand on hip) Heck that even surprised me.

Niki: (hands on hips and slight sassy) I told you both that you be part of the show, and I didn't lie.

Sonic: You definitely kept your word.

Silver: (puts her hands on his head) But that was so insane! Like that was... I don't even know!

Niki: (giggley) Ok Silver, calm down.

(The scene fades overhead with the four talking and laughing)
