(During early morning at Eggman's lair)
(Eggman is sitting at his large screen)
Eggman: (to Orbot and Cubot) You know how I always spy on the rodents? Well, since Niki is still somewhat new to the team, why not spy on her for a change?
Orbot: Couldn't of planned it better, boss.
Eggman: I already have a spy bot looking after her. Now let's watch the show.
(The scene fades to Niki's room as Niki is looking at the calendar marking things down)
(The spy bot is in a corner of a nearby window looking at her)
(Niki picks up her calendar to go to a secret calendar as the spy bot caught it)
(The scene then quickly changes to Eggman)
Eggman: Hm... I wonder why she has that secret calendar. (To spy bot) Follow her and don't let her out of your sight!
(About an hour later)
(The spy bot follows Niki into the woods, to Shadow's temple)
(Scene changed to Eggman)
Eggman: A temple, huh. I wonder what she's doing there.
(Scene changed back to Niki)
(The spy bot slowly follows her down the halls till she reaches Shadow. The spy bot then quickly gets behind one of the corners to the walls and watches in secret)
(Scene once again switches to Eggman)
Eggman: What the-?
Orbot: It appears that Niki talks... to Shadow?
Eggman: Well isn't this intriguing?
(About 20 minutes later of eavesdropping)
Eggman: Wow, that's about the most boring conversation I have ever heard. But what's even more juicy, is that this is all in secret. Oh-ho! Wait till Sonic finds out!
(10 minutes later)
(Sonic walks through the door to where Eggman is)
Sonic: (arms crossed) So Egghead, what's this about?
Eggman: (turns to Sonic) Something juicy that's for sure!
Sonic: As in?
Eggman: Take a look.
(Sonic looks at the big screen and the screen is paused on Niki leaning on the wall talking to Shadow who is also leaning on the wall)
Sonic: (a tad angered) Please tell me what I am looking at...
Eggman: You, my good spiny foe, are staring at your sister chatting with your said rival.
(Sonic calls Niki)
Niki: Ello?
Sonic: (tad angered) Hey could we meet up?
