Colors Beyond the Stars

(During about noon)

(At Tails's workshop)

Niki: (hyper) We're going on a trip?

Sonic: (proudly) And it'll just be you, Tails, and me.

Niki: Wait, why can't the rest of the team go?

Amy: Actually it's not why we can't go, we just choose to stay here.

Niki: (feeling dumbfounded) Oh...

Amy: If anything, I think this trip would be (cutesy) a perfect brother-sister bonding.

(Both Sonic and Niki give Amy a doubtful look)

Sticks: (to Sonic) You aren't taking her to an alien invasion cover up are you?

Sonic: (looks at Niki and Sticks back and fourth a few times and inhales and then bluntly) No.

Sticks: I'm watching you.

Tails: Anyway, we should probably get packing.

Niki: Right. Well see you two in a few minutes. (Darts off)

(About two hours later)

The three reach a secluded grassy opening with trees arching over a small pond)

Niki: (amazed and stops) Wow...

Sonic: (walks pass Niki) Wait till this place hits night.

(Niki continues to look around with eyes shinning)

(Hits night)

(All the tents are in a lined order. Sonic's is the most nearest on where they entered, Niki is the middle, and Tails is on the other end)

(All three of them are sitting in front of their own tents)

Niki: You were right. This place is more beautiful when it hits night.

(A few hours pass as it's coming close to midnight)

(Niki yawns with slightly droopy eyes)

Sonic: Come on. You can't be tired yet. We haven't gotten to why we're even here.

Niki: (drowsy) I know. (Yawns) It's just I usually go to bed way earlier than this...

Sonic: Alright. Since you seem like you're about to fall flat on your face, I'll let you go to bed.

Niki: (rubbing eyes) Thank you. (Crawls her way into the tent)

Sonic: I guess it's just you and me, Tails.

Tails: Seems like it.

(The next day inside Niki's tent)

(Niki shuffles in her sleep onto her right side. She felt something touch her nose and opens her eyes. It's a wisp. It's the wisp Yacker. Yacker tries talking to Niki, but Niki just immediately widens her eyes and the scene changes between Sonic and Tails as she screams off the top of her lungs, alerting Sonic and Tails, making them jolt up)

Niki: (Quickly backed out of tent on her behind) What is that thing?!

(Sonic pokes his head out of the tent and then sees Yacker poking out of Niki's tent)

Sonic: Yacker! I told you not to!

(Yacker tries arguing with Sonic)

Sonic: Don't give me that tone! You couldn't of just chilled out in mine or Tails's?
