The Break Up

(During early morning in village square at a table in Meh Burger)

(Jeffrey is chatting with another girl who looks somewhat like Niki, but is a porcupine and wears a bandana over her quills and has an actual outfit on)

Pheobe: (chuckles kinda nervously) Yeah... So, I can tell that your life has been pretty interesting since we broke up.

Jeffery: (curious) So, why exactly are you here Phoebe? Like not saying that you shouldn't be here, it's just it's kind of all of the sudden and it's really close to Valentine's Day.

Phoebe: (being slightly over dramatic) I just realized that I was with the wrong guy when I left you. (Normal) I made that crucial mistake. (Locks hands with Jeffery) I wanna get back with you.

Jeffery: (shocked and retracts hands very quickly) Uh... (Stans up out of chair) I get you mean well Phoebe, but I'm with someone else right now. And if I was still single I probably would of gotten back with you, but that's not the case.

Phoebe: Can't you just tell them that you're seeing someone else? She can't be all that.

Jeffery: I'm sorry Phoebe, I wish it was different.

Phoebe: (locks hands once more) It still can be. When is she supposed to be here anyway?

Jeffery: (forces hands away and starting to get irritated) She should be here any second.

Phoebe: (grins and under breath) Good...

(Phoebe then straight up kisses Jeffery. A few seconds later Niki shows up)

(Niki is then in shock at what she sees and without hesitation, she runs off in tears)

(Jeffery then shoves Phoebe away from him and tries to chase after Niki)

Jeffery: No, no, Niki!

(About two minutes later at Niki's house)

(Elizabeth is cleaning off a table as Niki darts upstairs into her room)

Elizabeth: (looks back at the stairs and hand on hip) Somebody is upset.

(A minute later Jeffery comes through the door out of breath)

(Elizabeth gets wide eyed as she spots Jeffery and then slowly turns back to finish cleaning the table)

(Jeffery tries to quickly gain his breath back and rushes up the stairs)

(Jeffery opens the door and closes it behind him only to then slightly turn to Niki having a steak knife thrown right beside his head)

Jeffery: (fast paced) I have no idea where you got those steak knives from or how you had the time to get them, (normal) but please it's not what it looked like.

Niki: (upset and one arm around knees) Then what is it supposed to look like? (Sets the other knife down) I saw you and your ex. If I had never gone to that stupid night show, we would of never been together. And now that I think about it, I don't think we should of ever gotten together. You were the first actual boyfriend I ever had and now, you literally just cheated with your ex. I can't take the chance again. (Gets up off of bed and softly) I'm sorry, we're through.

(Jeffery felt like he got struck in the chest hearing that. He stands in front of the door in disbelief. He tries to shake his feelings off and then heads out the door, down the stairs, and out the house)

(The next day at school during lunch)

Hanna: (to Jenny and slightly under breath) Niki hasn't been around Jeffery at all today. Usually she's very happy to see him.
