2 days until the masquerade ball.

•  Lilac's POV •

The madness over the masquerade ball continued as it rapidly approached. It was a mad house in here, everyone went crazy on how to style their hair, or the colour of their dress, or what design they want on their masks. I got to admit i was apart of the madness but i didn't show it.

"..and my dress is a baby blue with frills down the end." Cho explained.

"Mines a pastel purple and green, the colours match together wonderfully." Ginny said.

"I have a purple dress it's long and strapless." Hermione said.

"Yeah and mines a green one with flowers on it." George mocked.

"Can't forget mine, it's yellow with flowers on it!." Fred teased.

George gasped. "We forgot the masks Freddie!"

"Oh no." Fred fake cried. "How will we live!"

I started laughing hysterically, only George and Fred could pull off something like that and get away with it.

"Okay enough you two!" Hermione shouts.

"How about you Lilac, what's your dress look like?" Ginny asked.

"I'd rather keep it a secret until the ball." I said.

"Mystery. I like that." George smirked.

"Oh do you now?" I asked sarcastically as i grinned at him.

"You know i do." He whispered.

"Well, we must get going now." Fred announced as he stood up.

George slid something onto my lap before he disappeared with Fred into the crowd. I look down and saw yet again another red rose with a letter attached. I search for George in the crowd, i spot him just before leaving he turns back and gives me a smirk, i look down and smile.

"What are you smiling about?" Ginny grinned.

"Isn't it obvious, it's George." Hermione said.

"Uh no." I blushed.

"It so is." Cho squealed.

"Okay well i'm going to study." I said before leaving the table. I walk into the library and sit quietly in the corner before opening the letter.

"One rose for all the times you've put a smile on my face."

I smiled and giggled to myself as i thought back to all the times when George, Fred and I pulled pranks on anyone that we could.

I spent the next few hours studying and reading books.

"Mind if i join you?" George asked.

"Sure." I said quietly as he took a seat next to me. I continued to read my book until i noticed him staring from the corner of my eye.

"May i help you." I whispered.

"As a matter of fact, yes." He said. "You see, i couldn't help but notice you didn't have a date to the masquerade ball."

"What's your point George."

"Will you go with me?" He smirked as he moved closer to me.

"If you can spot me throughout the night then i'll be your date." I said as i got up.

"Oh it's on!" He shouted, his voice echoed throughout the library. I laughed as i made my way back to my dorm.
