3. The outcast

•Lilac's POV •

And there i was , up in front of all the students at Hogwarts. All eyes were on me.
I already knew what was coming but for some reason i still felt overwhelmed by it.

"SLYTHERIN" the sorting hat screams.

Yeah. There it is. I shouldn't be shocked by this, i mean it is how it has to be.

I slowly walked off the stage while everyone's eyes followed me over to the Slytherin table. I take a seat at the very end of the table, away from everyone else. Great. Just great.

I bury my head into the table hoping that everyone would just disappear. I look up and feel everyone's eyes on me, i can hear snickering from the other houses.

"What do you think she did?" One girl said to her friend.

"Probably used an unforgivable curse" the other girl replied then started laughing as they glared at me.

I feel physically sick. No one even knows who my father is yet i hope it stays that way, until i can prove his innocence of course.

As breakfast slowly comes to an end i quickly race out of the great hall before anyone else and make my way to my first class: Defence against the dark arts, with Professor Snape.

I ran into the class and sat myself quietly at the back, i was the first one there, or so i thought.

"Miss Black, how lovely" Professor Snape says coming out of the shadows.

"I- sorry to barge in Professor i just like being early to my classes" i said trying to put on a smile.

"You must not lie, Miss Black, i know things" He said as he walked to the front of the room.

5 minutes later and all the other students started walking in.

"Students you may make a line to the side, I'll be assigning your seats for this class, we do not need any interruptions is that understood." Professor Snape says.

What. The. Hell.

"Draco Malfoy, you'll be seated with Pansy Parkinson" He said.

I see a fairly tall guy with blonde hair walk over to the table and take a seat.

"Lilac, you'll be seated with Gregory Goyle" Snape says as he points to my table.

I walk over and sit down next to a guy, his hair is bristly and long it sort of falls in his face. I look over and notice that he is also in Slytherin.

"Hi, i'm Lilac." I say, finally breaking the silence.

"Goyle" He replied, giving me a small wave.

We sat in silence for what seemed like forever.

"First day?" he asked curiously

"Is it that obvious?" i chuckled.

"That, and i think i'd remember seeing a hot girl like you around here" He replies while looking at me.

I laugh it off.

By the end of class, Goyle and i had talked a fair bit that we hadn't realised the bell had rang.
