7. Do i belong here?

• George's POV •

That night i couldn't get any sleep, i didn't get home until 4am. I snuck in through the side door and quietly made my way through the kitchen and into the living room.

"GEORGE WEASLEY WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!" My mum yells as i walked into the living room.

"I'm sor-" I say before she interrupted.

"It's 4am. No call?. YOU COULD HAVE DIED!"

"I'm sorry mum, i was dropping off a friend we got side tracked, i just wanted to get her home safety. Wait how did you know i was coming back here?"

"That's very thoughtful George, but please call next time. Fred let me know you'd be coming back here. Now off to bed!" She says as she pulled me in for a hug.

I went up to my bed, it was only mum, dad and i here. I was meant to apparate to hogwarts but it didn't turn out as planned.

I guess Fred knew i'd be coming here as he left a note near my bed.

Dear George.
I have told mum that you'll be staying at a 'friends' or coming back home tonight i figured you'd be too tired to come back to Hogwarts tonight.
P.s don't wait too long to tell Lilac how you feel.

I read the letter twice. Tell Lilac how i feel? Has he gone absolutely mad. I can't think straight i need to sleep.

I wake up for what feels like 10 minutes later to my mum knocking at my door.

"George it's time to get up, you'll be late to school." Mum says.

I quickly get up and shower and get changed. i grab my bag and walk downstairs. I say goodbye to mum before apparating to school.

I walk into the great hall and see Lilac ahead.

• Lilac's POV •

I walk into the great hall for breakfast i walk at a very slow pace as i'm dreading sitting at the Slytherin table.

"Hey Lilac" George said.

"Hello George." I say before turning to face him.

"How did you know it was me?" He looked surprised.

"I know what your voice sounds like."

"Is that so?" George asked raising an eyebrow.

"Oh don't flatter yourself too much." I joke.

"Okay love, i just came to ask if you received what i had left for you last night."

"If you're referring to the fireworks, yes i did and i love them"

"Oh really?" He asked curiously.

"Of course! you know how much pranks i can pull off with these bad boys." I reply as i poke them out from my robes.

"You brought them to school!?"

"Yes indeed i did"

"Well well look at you, you're practically the girl version of Fred and I." George laughs.

We both laugh.

"Oh o looks like we have an audience." George whispers in my ear as we look at the Slytherin table who is death staring us.

"Well wish me luck." i reply as i walk over.

"Nice of you to join us Lilac" Goyle says as he comes to sit down next to me and places his hand on my thigh.

"Believe me the only reason why i'm here is because i'm starved now if you'll excuse me" I say pushing his hand off my thigh.

I begin eating my eggs as i see from the corner of my eye Goyle staring at me.

"Can i help you." I say as i shove some toast in my mouth.

"You look hot today." Goyle replies still staring at me.

"Is that supposed to flatter me? cause it's not working"

"No but this will" Goyle says as he leans in for a kiss.

"Aww look Goyle and Lilac are about to kiss" Draco says while making kissing noises.

I grab a jug of orange juice and pour it on his head.
"Leave me alone, both of you!"
I sigh to myself as i walk away from the table.
"I don't belong here."

• George's POV •

I sit down next to Fred and grab a piece of toast.

"Fun night?" Fred says as he gives me a smirk.

"Nothing happened." I replied.

"What are you two talking about?" Ron interrupts.

"Georgie here has a crush on a certain Slytherin" Fred chuckles.

"I do not." I state.

I look over at the Slytherin table and see Lilac, of course Goyle is bothering her again. What's new.

I hate that guy.

I watch as he places his hand on her thigh, she pushes it off as she shoves a piece of toast in her mouth. Gosh she looks beautiful.

He leans in for a kiss and i watch as she pours orange juice on his head. I gotta admit that was priceless i even let out a little laugh.

I watch as she gets up to leave and he pulls her back. I was furious now, i scrunched up piece of toast until it all crumbled.

"I'll be back" I say with looking back. I watch as she walks straight past me, Goyle following straight behind her.

I walk into the hall way and see them fighting.

"Leave her alone" I said as i pushed him off her.

"Or what" Goyle says.

Before i knew it i pushed him into the ground and punched him. It felt good to finally let out all that anger.

"Guys stop" Lilac said as she attempted to pull Goyle and i apart.

"Let go bitch" Goyle says while pushing Lilac off him. I grab him and push him off her.

"Don't you dare touch her ever again!" I yell in his face.

A group of students came out and gathered around to watch us fight. i went in for another punch as he tugged and ripped my robes.

"Georgie, calm down" Fred says. I see him from the corner of my eye but i'm too furious to stop.

"George look at me, please don't do this." I look over at Lilac who's almost in tears. I push Goyle off me and give her a tight hug.

"I'm sorry" I say. She doesn't reply.

Fred comes over and hugs Lilac.

"Are you okay?" Fred asked.

"I'm fine" she said. "I gotta get to class."

She pulled away from us and sped off to class.
