40. The Ball.

• Lilac's POV •

George and I spent the entire day making my dress. Well mostly me.. but George handed me material and i enjoyed his company.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" I asked.

"I'm intrigued by this." George said as he continued to stare.

I shoot a confused look towards him. "Really?"

"Yes. It's rather interesting."

"Is that so?"

We both stared into each other eyes without saying a word. George leaned in towards me making our lips almost touch. My heart started racing, my palms sweating.

"So.. i'll see you at the dance?" I cleared my throat.

"You know it baby... uh Lilac." George gasped.

I chuckled softly. "Bye George. See you tonight."

"Well well well." Cho laughed from across the room.

"How long have you been there for?" I gasped.

"I don't know.. maybe like 10 minutes or so."

"Cho! what the hell." I screamed.

"Okay sorry sorry. You guys are just so cute."

"Please stop." I chuckled.

"Girl stop, you're blushing." Cho laughed.

"Okay enough. I'm going to get ready."

2 hours later

"Hurry we're already late!" Cho yelled.

"What? only 15 minutes relax." I chuckled.

"Sorry i'm just excited."

"You can go ahead without me, i'll meet you down their i won't be too much longer." I said while putting on the necklace George got for me.

"It's okay i'll wait." Cho said while jumping on the spot.

I laughed. "Let's get you to that ball." I said before we left the room, Cho practically running towards the great hall.

As we entered the great hall everyone turned towards us as we made our way inside.

"Geez, didn't know we needed an audience." I whispered.

"If it makes you feel any better George can't take his eyes off you." She gasped as she nudged me.

I searched around the room until my eyes met his, his eyes were so dreamy. He gave me a smirk before making his way towards me.

"Hi." I said.

"Wow." He blushed and rubbed the back of his head.

"You like it?" I giggled and spun around to show my dress.

"You know i do." He smirked.

Fred and Angelina walked over.

"Hey guys." Fred said.

"Lilac i love your dress! The purple really compliments you." Angelina gasped.

"Thank you! I actually made this." I said.

"You've got to teach me!" She said.

"Most definitely."

"Hello everyone." Harry said. "Lilac, may i talk to you a moment?"

"Uh sure Harry."

Harry and I walked towards a quiet place in the corner of the hall.

"Is everything okay?" I asked anxiously.
