14. Are you mine?

Two days until the yule ball.

• Lilac's POV •

Christmas was right around the corner, as well as the yule ball. I was still undecided if i wanted to attend or not.

Classes were cut short today due to Christmas break beginning. The halls were filled with joy and happiness. Christmas was the most wonderful time of the year, it was my favourite holiday.

I walked along the hall and looked at all the amazing Christmas decorations.

"Hey Lilac" I turn around as George yells out my name from the other end of the hallway.

"Hi George." I yell back.

He runs upto me and gives me a hug.

"Where are you off too?" He asked.

"The Ravenclaw girls dormitory." I said.

"Oh is that so?" He said as he raised an eyebrow.

"Yes." I reply.

"Any plans for Christmas?" He said.

"Not really, My parents and I usually just stay in." I said.

"Well i was wondering." He said as he began to blush. "Maybe you and your parents could come to the burrow with my family, you'll be able to meet my parents."

"Oh wow, meeting your parents already, take me on a date first." I tease as i softly hit his shoulder.

He gives me a smirk.
"Okay then i have something in mind."

"Wait, i was jok-" I say before he interrupted me.

"I gotta go, i'll see you tonight." He said before kissing me on the cheek and walking off.

"What's happening tonight?" I yell out after him.

"I'll pick you up from the Girl dormitory." He replied before turning the corner.

I walk back to the Ravenclaw Girls Dormitory.

"Lilac!" Cho said, as i opened the door. "Welcome to the Ravenclaw Girls Dormitory!"

"Oh wow." I said as i looked around. It was a beautiful room dazzled with light, dark and pastel blues, nothing too overwhelming though. It was welcoming and it smelt of gingerbread.

"You're finally here!" Cho said excitedly. "I honestly didn't think you'd come."

"Oh i'm not staying yet, i'll be back the night of the yule ball and then i'll be spending the rest of Christmas with the Weasleys and my parents." I explain.

"The Weasleys?" She said, giving me a smirk.

"What's that look for?" I ask.

"Oh please Lilac, i'm not stupid. You and George clearly have a thing for each other, you're just too scared to admit it." She said.

"And why would i be scared?" I said.

"Because you're scared that if you date him you'll ruin your friendship not only with him, but with Fred too." She said. "But i think you should go for it! He obviously seems to care about you a whole lot. You should see the way his face drops when another guy hits on you, or the way his mood changes whenever you walk in the room. Trust me girl, i can see it."
