20. The Surprise.

• Lilac's POV•

Many months has past, however the tri wizard tournament was still in place. The last quest was set for this Friday at 3pm. Everyone was pretty excited about this.

George and I sat over at the Gryffindor table with the others. Cho joined us shortly after.

"Hey. I hope you guys don't mind, it was getting pretty lonely over there." Cho said as she pointed to the Ravenclaw table.

"Not at all!" I replied motioning for her to come and sit by George and I.

"So, are you excited for Cedric to complete the tri wizard tournament?" I asked curiously.

"More than ever. He's been so busy working on successfully completing the task, we've barely had any time together." She replied in a soft tone.

"That's okay! After this you'll be able to spend as much time with him as possible." I reassured her.

"ATTENTION EVERYONE." Professor Dumbledore yelled. The hall went completely silent within seconds. "As you all may know, the Tri Wizard Tournament is coming to an end. The last task is approaching fast, and is set for this Friday. However, there is a twist."

The entire hall gasped and whispered among themselves.

"I wonder what that could mean." George whispered curiously.

"...Cedric Diggory, Viktor Krum and Fleur Delacour will each be accompanied by a student from Hogwarts. Each student who is over the age of 17, your name will be put into the Goblet of Fire and drawn out tomorrow at breakfast. 3 students will be picked at random by the Goblet of Fire and it will also confirm which Tri Wizard champion you'll be accompany throughout the last task." He continued.

The hall was dead silent as Dumbledore walked down the middle and right out the door.

"This is serious." Hermione gasped.

"Each of our names were placed into the Goblet of Fire without our consent. It could possibly be one of us. This tournament is by very challenging and the last task is by far the most dangerous!" Hermione gasped.

"Hermione calm down please. Yes there's a chance of that happening, however look around there is so many other students in this school." Harry reassured her.

"I'm trying to think realistically Harry!" She replied.

"Look everyone calm down alright. We will work through this together." Fred reassured us. "Now we should be getting to class Lilac, you know what Slughorn is like when people are late to his class."

"Shit, you're right. Let's bounce." I reply as i quickly got up and walked out with Fred.

Potions was rather different today.

Slughorn made us write notes the entire time. By the end of it my hand felt completely numb.

"Gosh, how much do this man gonna make us write." Fred jokes front end other end of the table.

"Trust me, he could make us write all day." I chuckled.

"That is all for this lesson students. I'll need to be leaving early today so you are dismissed for the rest of the lesson." Slughorn announced as everyone practically jumped from their seats and rushed out of class.

"Wicked. Free period!" Fred shouted. "What shall we do now."

"Well i have an idea. But it's risky." I said.

"Go on, spit it out."

"George had an exam for Muggle studies this period, correct?"

"Yes." A confused look plastered across Fred's face.
