16. Chritmas with the Weasleys.

• Lilac's POV •

George, Fred and I heard towards the burrow.
As soon as we got there Fred rushed inside, leaving George and I behind.

"So." George said.

"It's just as i remember." I say as my eyes glazed over the place.

"It's magical, isn't it?" He asks.

"Of course!" I reply. "It's beautiful."

"And so are you." He smirks as he plays with my hair.

I lean in and kiss him quickly before pulling away.

"Come on then." I say as i hold his hand.

We walk in and see everyone seated at the table waiting for us including my parents.

"Hello sweetheart." Mum said.

I rush over and give Mum and Dad a hug.

"Hello dear." Mrs Weasley said as she brought out a plate of food.

"Hi Mrs Weasley!" I say excitedly.

"Oh please, call me Molly dear." She says as she gives me a hug. "Come on, sit sit."

George and I take a seat down the end of the table near Fred, Ginny, Harry, Ron and Hermione.

"What took you guys so long." Ginny asked.

"Probably out there snogging." Fred replied raising an eyebrow.

I catch George staring over at me, all dreamy. I stare back then quickly look away.

"Alright everyone, let's eat!" Mr Weasley said.

My stomach growled and I squirmed in my seat to try to silence the rumbling. Luckily, no one noticed the loud noise. I grabbed a small piece of chicken and ham pie, with a side of roast potatoes and quickly devoured it all.

"Hungry are we?" George teases.

"Starving." I reply before i shove a potato in my mouth.

I catch George staring over at me again.

"What?" I say with a mouth full of food.

"You look beautiful." He whispered into me ear.

That's not true. I had just shoved a piece of pie into my mouth when i caught him staring, there's nothing beautiful about that. I quietly laugh to myself at the thought of it.

"What are you whispering about over there?" Ron asked while picking up another piece of pie.

"Leave them alone Ronald! I think it's sweet." Hermione said as she smiled over at us.

I smiled back.

20 minutes later we all sit at the table, talking and laughing. It felt like we were one big family.

"... And that's why i got kicked out of Professor Snapes class." Ron said with a mouth full of food. We all laughed.

"Do you ever stop eating?" Hermione asked shooting Ron a disgusted look.

"Bloody hell Hermione, a mans gotta eat." Ron said defending himself.

"You have the appetite of about 5 men." Ginny said interrupting their conversation.

I chuckle.

"Don't worry Ron, I have a big appetite as well." I said.
