(Madelyn's POV)
"Punch harder, Caroline." I heard Kristine's voice over the deafening sounds of grunts, screams, and electricity crackling.
"Don't you think I'm trying?" Caroline yelled back, throwing her fist much harder and faster at her hologram, but it ducked and punched her in the stomach. "Bullshit!"
I heard Kristine sigh and suddenly, the holograms disappeared, making Tyler squeal a little as he fell onto the ground. He was wrestling his hologram. Jason stopped running and rested his hands on his hips as he caught his breath. We were all wearing our suits today and thankfully it's not as snug as the first day we wore them. It's been worn in a lot more, which means that I have been able to move around more freely now.
"Okay, we'll stop with that for today. I want to work on something else with you." She said, clapping her hands together and walking over to us. We watched her with curiosity as she walked to the center of the gym. "We're going to work on you guys using your powers together."
"What do you mean?" Tyler asked, running his fingers through his hair.
"You guys are strong, it's amazing how strong you guys are, but when you work together, you're going to be unbelievably strong." She explained, smiling at us. "There are so many ways you guys can work together, it's incredible, but it also means there needs to be communication."
"Let's do it," Noah said with a smile on his face. Kristine smiled and clicked a button, making a hologram appear, just standing there staring at us.
"Now, I know this might be a little traumatic, but does anyone remember the night you found out about your powers?" She asked, looking at each of us for someone to remember that traumatizing night.
"Yes, Danielle lifted someone in the air and pushed one of Casper's men into a wall." Tyler immediately explained, drawing our attention to him. "Then, Noah blinded them while Caroline and I made the floor slippery." The memory of that was slowly coming back into my mind as he explained it.
"Perfect, so we'll start with Tyler, Caroline, and Noah. Everyone else step back please." Kristine said as the three of them stepped forward.
"Is it that hard to work together?" Ethan asked. I chuckled lightly and placed my hands on my hips.
"Maybe for them," Danielle added, placing her arm on Ethan's shoulder. We laughed a little louder making Caroline, Tyler, and Noah glare at us. We quickly silenced our laughs.
"Now, Noah, I think this is a good time to teach you this..." Kristine said. He nodded, waiting for his command. "With the ability to control light, you can control the things around you. More specifically, the way people see and what they see."
"What, like mind control?" He asked, crossing his arms and getting excited.
"Not quite, don't get ahead of yourself. You're not like me. This is for a more one on one combat situation."
"Let's do it. What do I have to do?" He asked, getting excited about the new power he was about to unlock.
"The thing about this is that the person will still be with you, but they won't be able to see the same thing that all of us see. All they will see is what you want them to see. You have to dig deep into someone's subconscious and form a world. Once you have it, you need to use your powers, and they will be in that subconscious as long as you are connected to their mind."
"But how do I connect to them?" He asked. She smiled and stepped away, gesturing to one of us.
"You'll understand once you do. Maybe you've done it once or twice without realizing it, you just haven't given a specific location." She explained. Noah looked over at me and pointed at me. I raised my eyebrow, not wanting to be his little guinea pig.
