(Danielle's POV)

"Ethan! Ethan! Can you please stop?" I asked as he frantically looked around his room like he was trying to find something.

"Nope." He said, grabbing a shirt and still ignoring me.

"Ethan, please just stop and talk to me." I placed my hand on his bedpost and waited for him to calm down so we could talk about this.

"There's nothing to talk about." I was starting to get impatient with him now. When we all came up here to start getting ready, I knew something was wrong because all he was doing was rushing around his room and packing clothes into a backpack.

"You told Tyler you wanted to kill Rebecca." He nodded, still grabbing things. "What are you even packing for?"

"That's what I'm going to do." He put the backpack on his shoulder and started to walk toward his door.

I was starting to get frustrated. He never acts like this. It was like I was watching Tyler. I threw my hands up, not understanding why he wasn't talking to me. He said he wanted to kill Rebecca, just like how Caroline and I felt. He's never said anything like that before. When he opened his door, I immediately swiped my hand through the air. The door shut before he had a chance to step forward. When the door slammed and locked, he rested his forehead against the door before slowly turning to face me, accepting his defeat.

"Can we talk now or are you going to be a big baby and try and leave?" I asked, crossing my arms while I leaned against his bedpost.

"Fine." He threw his backpack onto the ground and crossed his arms too, exhaling sharply. I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Why are you trying to walk out here without a plan? You do realize that she has some mind control or something like that right? She can kill you before you even set foot inside her weird little hideout." I wanted him to understand that he wasn't thinking clearly. He was sounding like me and Caroline again.

"Not if she doesn't know I'm there. Besides, she won't kill me." He scoffed, making me scoff too. I shook my head at his pride. I knew they had a past and I made it a point not to ask about it because I wanted to be certain he only cared for me.

"Exactly, so why are you going to kill her? You have no motive." I quickly fired back.

"Because she chipped us."

"That's it?" He nodded and I chuckled. "You know she's not going to kill you because she's in love with you. Whatever, but you're not going to kill her because you still like her too."

"What are you talking about?"

"Don't act like that... I know you two had a past and I make it a point to not make it my business, but when you're acting like this, I have to be the realistic one." I explained, wanting to scream at him, but I also wanted to stay calm.

"What do you mean realistic?" He questioned, gripping his backpack strap.

"You have all of this rage built up because you're upset with her. We all are. She lured us out here and forced us to gain powers we didn't want and then she kidnapped us. You're never going to have the heart to kill her." His lips pressed together, knowing I was right. "None of us do."

"You're wrong. I don't like her anymore. Besides, you don't know what she did to me. You just hate her because Caroline does." He said, making my anger start to bubble over.

"You know what she's done to me, Ethan! She's hurt all of us in ways you don't know. She's hurt Tyler, Noah, Madelyn–"

"Then why won't you let me go stop this bullshit so we can go home?" He asked.
