(Noah's POV)

We sat there for hours. We were waiting for Ethan and Kaeo; he said he'd be here and we'd be out by tonight. I've been watching the door all day since Ethan left. I've been waiting for him to open it and somehow Danielle was going to get us out.

"Anything?" Tyler asked. I looked at the door and shook my head.

"Nothing."

"I knew we couldn't trust them," Madelyn said.

"Now, hold on. We don't know for sure what time it is, and they might be on their way." Jason added. I looked over at him. He could be right, or Madelyn could be right. Either way, I was getting pretty tired of waiting.

Then, the door opened.

I jumped up from my seated position and waited. Ethan and Kaeo came walking in. Ethan had a smug look on his face. He was smirking, thinking that he was the best person in this room. I glared at him as he walked by.

"Miss me already?" He asked, turning to Madelyn as if he'd been listening to her the whole time.

"Don't flatter yourself, Ethan. I'm going to punch you so hard, you're going to feel like you've been blasted into outer space." I smirked and looked over at Jason, who had a proud grin on his lips. Kaeo was also smiling.

"Is that before or after we get out?" He questioned, turning away and standing in the middle of everyone. He was facing Danielle, waiting for her to do something.

"Why are you staring at me?" She asked. I looked over at her. She was hurt and angry. I felt sorry for her. Our private encounter the first night we got here when we were stuck in that dream world has stayed with me. She just wants to go home. She can't handle all of this pain.

"I'm waiting for you to do your little witchy voodoo and get everyone out."

"I don't know how to do that. And they dampened our powers, jackass." He shifted his weight onto his left foot. I leaned against the glass, trying to see better from the terrible angle I was at.

"Right, well, we all felt the room shake earlier when you had your little outburst, and we all felt that gust of wind the first night you got caught. So tell me, Danielle... are your powers really dampened?" I sat up, glancing at Jason, who seemed to be just as confused as I was. I didn't realize that those two incidents were because of Danielle's powers.

"Well, it doesn't matter, does it? I can't do it and I'm not strong enough. Especially since your psycho girlfriend keeps torturing us." She spat at him. I watched her pace in frustration. She was getting angry with him. Ethan was going to say something, but the door opened again.

We all turned to face it, and to my surprise, it was two of the guards. They came for a surprise visit. I turned to Ethan, knowing now that this was a setup. They were here to take one of us and he was going to rub it into our faces. We were just little pons while he gets to eat grapes on a throne.

"I bet you feel real powerful, Ethan," I muttered, leaning against the glass again in exhaustion. "Who are they going to take this time?"

"I'm sure Kaeo would love to see me go," Jason added. Kaeo's face was anything but amused. He looked confused.

"Shut up, Jason," Madelyn warned.

"No, they're probably here for me. Ethan's probably still jealous." Tyler taunted. Caroline and Danielle glared at him to stop playing around too.

"What are you guys doing here?" Ethan asked the guards, which made me confused.

"Cut the act, asshole. You brought them here." Madelyn added for us. He turned toward her, shaking his head coldly. Something was telling me that he was clueless. He and Kaeo were both confused and it was almost like they were worried. Not for us, but that the guards had ruined their plans.
