(Ethan's POV)
I groaned and coughed as I turned onto my back. There was a rock under my spine and I cringed as I dug it away. The cool ground gave me no comfort and instead gave me a pounding headache.
"Ethan!" Tyler whispered, slapping my arm. I groaned again and slowly opened my eyes. We were in a small cement room and it was dark. The only source of light was coming from the hallway behind the metal bars.
"What the fuck, man?" I mumbled, slowly sitting up. Pain shot through my body as I did so and I placed my hand on my head.
"Madelyn and Jason are gone. Bitches." I looked up and saw Tyler sitting against a wall.
"Where's Danielle?" He shrugged and looked out at the metal bars.
"She's not in any of those cells. Caroline and Noah are over there." I winced as I stood up and walked over to the bars.
My body was so sore and I felt like I moved in months. I looked out and saw Caroline lying on the floor, still unconscious, and Noah was in a different cell. He waved to me and I sighed. We were trapped in a weird cell like some caged animals and we don't know where half of our friends are.
"Why isn't she waking up?" I asked, nodding over to Caroline.
"I don't know. We can't tell if she's wounded or not." Tyler said, walking over to the cell door. I sighed and looked around. It was a giant empty hallway and we were at the end of it.
"Caroline!" I yelled. She stirred a little but didn't wake up. Watching her in pain was sickening, but what scared me the most was that I didn't know where Danielle and Madelyn were. At least I could see Caroline in front of me. Madelyn was with Jason, so Danielle was the only one missing.
"We've tried that," Noah said, lazily. I rolled my eyes and sat against the wall, Tyler doing the same.
It was so embarrassing sitting on the ground defenseless against everyone. None of our powers helped get us out of here. Maybe Caroline could freeze the bars enough to break them, but Danielle has the power to open the doors.
"I'm going to kill Jason. How is he going to leave us here?" Tyler said, making us look over at him.
"He was protecting Madelyn. We would do the same if we were in the same position if we were all him." Noah said, glancing at me. I couldn't protect Danielle if she weren't here.
"It doesn't matter. I doubt he even thought about coming back for us." He rolled his eyes and shook his head. "He's a coward."
"Would you have saved Madelyn?" I asked.
"Of course. I would've saved all of them, but I would also come back for everyone." I nodded and turned my head back to the brick wall.
"So you're telling me that if you had a chance to save Caroline over us, you wouldn't take it?" Noah asked.
"Of course, I would. Just like Ethan would with Ellie. And I guess you with Caroline." He pressed his lips together and I shut my eyes. Not knowing where Danielle was killing me, or if she was okay. "What do you have to tell her?"
We looked over at Noah, trying to piece together the lies Rebecca was telling us. Not that it mattered because we all knew she was manipulating us. We were still curious as to what was going on between Noah and Caroline. We all knew Noah has liked her since freshman year.
"I don't know. I have no idea what Rebecca was talking about." Noah admitted. Tyler looked over at Noah and I followed his gaze. This was not a conversation I wanted to be a part of.
"Dude, you don't have to lie. It's us." Tyler chuckled.
"I'm not lying." Noah scoffed. "And if you want to play this game, what did she mean about you and Ellie?" I looked over at him, now a little curious as to what he had to say.
