(Jason's POV)

I heard rustling around my room and I carefully opened my eyes from the deep sleep state I was in. I looked over my shoulder and saw Dani looking all around my room.

"What are you doing?" I muttered as she rummaged through my drawers. She didn't respond and I sat up on my elbows. "Hello, have you ever heard of knocking?"

"You wouldn't have heard me anyway." She mumbled as she walked across to the other side of my room.

"What are you doing?" I asked again. She sighed and placed her hands on her hips as she looked around.

"I'm looking for something." She answered finally.

"No shit. Really?" I asked, rubbing my eye. She rolled her eyes and continued to search through my room.

"It's serious." She huffed, making me hum in response as I laid back on my pillow. She sighed again and I felt the bed dip. I opened my eyes again to see Danielle crawling to the spot next to me and lying on her back.

She folded her hands over her chest and looked up at my ceiling. I just accepted it and closed my eyes again, hugging the pillow under my head. I don't mind her just sitting there with me, it was nice, but it wasn't uncommon either. It's weird to think about how different Dani was before we came versus now.

"Ethan found a chip last night." She said amid the comfortable silence between us. My eyebrows pulled together.

"What kind?" I asked, wondering where he found the chips from.

"The kind that records your conversations, dumbass." She said, chuckling a little as she slapped my arm. I smiled and nodded, opening my eyes and flipping onto my back.

"Right. Where did he find it?" I ran my fingers through my hair as she sighed.

"His room, my room, and Tyler's room. I was trying to find one in your room, but I couldn't find it." She said, looking over at me. I looked around, a little confused about why there were chips in their rooms.

"Who chipped us?" I asked, looking over at her.

"Who do you think?" She asked, relaxing her head onto her pillow.

"Kristine? No way." She pressed her lips together and looked over at me like it was obvious that I'm wrong.

"Who else could it be?" I shrugged, trying to think about the options.

"Rebecca." I gasped, making her hit my chest.

"I'm serious, Jason..." She looked back at the ceiling and a silence fell between us. "Why aren't you freaking out about this?"

"Because I haven't done anything to be worried about." I looked over at her with a teasing smirk. "You and Ethan do though." I began to moan to tease her. She rolled her eyes as she grabbed a pillow and threw it at me. I caught it before it could hit me and she slapped my chest again.

"Shut up." She ordered. I smiled at her, plopping the pillow on her face and turning to face her. "You're lucky that I forgive you."

"Forgive me for what?" I groaned.

"Leaving us in there." I pressed my lips together and turned on my back again. I looked up at the ceiling, trying to push away the guilt I felt for leaving Dani and Caroline in there.

"I'm sorry, Dani," I said, shaking my head. "It wasn't that I didn't want to save you. It was that if I went in there after Madelyn stopped me, I wouldn't have gotten us out."

"I understand. I can't blame you for what you did. Ethan's done the same to you guys." She admitted. I shook my head.

"No, it's different. If I hadn't left you in there, you wouldn't have been chained to a chair for three weeks." She silently looked over at me. "And you wouldn't have a chemical in your system."
