(Danielle's POV)

This was the most terrifying feeling. I didn't ask for this. I never wanted this. I never wanted to be stuck on a weird island and gain magical powers from a pretty blue rock. All of it sounded like crap. I looked up at Ethan, who looked down at me. I buried my face into his shoulder, trying not to freak out.

"Who is it?" Caroline whispered.

"Maybe it's Kaeo," Madelyn suggested.

"One of them is Casper," Ethan whispered. I never wanted to be home more in my life. Jason gripped Tyler's shirt, pulling him closer. He had anger, seriousness, and panic written on his face, but he kept his composure well.

"Tyler, where's the gun?" Jason whispered. I looked up at Tyler and anger spread across his face.

"Dammit. I bet they took it." He whispered. I shook my head and looked around, trying to find an escape. I was ready to run if we had to. I don't know why we were sitting here waiting for something to happen. We should be looking for help. I turned to Ethan.

"Call the police or someone," I whispered to him. He felt around his pockets but then cursed under his breath.

"I left it inside." He admitted.

"You left our only chance of escape inside?" Caroline scolded. She was scared but angry.

"Sorry, I didn't realize we were going to be raided."

"Shut up, both of you," Madelyn ordered. Jason gripped Tyler's shirt again.

"Okay, you and I need to go inside and get a gun or the phone, or something." He whispered. Tyler nodded, but we looked at each other in confusion.

"You guys are trying to go back inside? Are you insane?" Madelyn whisper-yelled, making her way toward the boys. She gripped Jason's arm, but he was quick to grab her arms in seriousness.

"Do you want to get out of here or not?" She looked around his face in worry. Then, her face changed into realization and anger. "What?"

"I left the water bottle on the counter." She stated. I shut my eyes in frustration.

"They know we're awake," Jason stated.

"They're not here!" I heard from inside the house. Noah grabbed my hand and Ethan's grasp on me tightened, but this isn't what I needed or wanted. I pushed Noah's hand away and I peeled myself away from Ethan.

"They're inside looking for us," Caroline whispered in frustration.

"And we have powers–" Jason began.

"We don't know how to use them!" Madelyn interrupted. He quickly covered her mouth and looked at her with wide angry eyes.

"We have to do something."

"Where could they have gone? We need to find them now!" A woman's voice said. My eyebrows furrowed together as I tried to listen to the girl.

"You have super speed. Why can't you just go in and look?" Caroline was next to crawl over to them, but Tyler grabbed her and pushed her against the house.

"You all need to calm down. They can see us from the window." Tyler informed. Jason slowly took his hand away from Madelyn's mouth and looked over at Tyler.

"You ready?" He asked Tyler. Tyler nodded and they slowly began crawling toward the door.

"They could be anywhere," Casper said. I dug my nails into the dirt underneath us.

"Look! They know they have powers! They couldn't have gotten far!" The woman said.

Jason left the ice ball on the ground. They found it. Ethan and Noah quickly crawled over to Jason and Tyler before they could enter the house. Noah quickly grabbed Jason's shirt and yanked him back while Ethan did the same to Tyler. They pushed them against the house.
