Leaning back in your chair and balancing your pencil between your upper lip and nose you stare at the ceiling of your shared office. After Yukiko set you up at your desk and showed you how to file patient documents there wasn't much else you needed to learn. Craning your neck to your right you watch Yukiko mess around on her phone with her headphones in, her shirt and pants both black with her lab coat snug around her petite shoulders. Returning your head to face forward you stare at the now open office blinds out into the empty infirmary for probably the fifteenth time in the past two hours. Turning your head to your left and peering outside the window, there is nothing much to look at since there's another office building directly across from your office. You sigh and stand up, catching Yukiko's attention.
"There isn't much to do while we wait for heroes to hurt themselves." She probably feels bad for making you wait for so long with nothing to do except let your mind wander to help pass the time.
Yukiko sets down her phone, taking out her ear buds "I'll show you bedside manners and where we store our supplies. It's going onto 11 so we'll be seeing an influx of patients here soon." Her reassurance is comforting to you, though a little bit of anxiety tugs at your chest at the word 'influx' meaning you'll most likely end up tired after healing several people. You internally reassure yourself that your training and patrols with Shuji have perfectly prepared your quirk's stamina for this job.
Yukiko stands up from her desk directly next to the door of the office, pushing in her chair. She opens the door for you. Stepping back out into the infirmary floor you remember your encounter with the winged hero.
"Hey, how come you didn't hear me scream earlier? Hawks snuck up on me and nearly gave me a heart attack."
Yukiko walks to the office directly across from yours. The number reading 402 on the sign next to the door, you follow behind her as she speaks "He does that to every newbie in the agency, consider it your initiation into the building. Every room on this floor is sound proof." Yukiko places her hand on the doorknob and turns it pushing the door open, "In here is another office. Bandage, meet Soarin. She's the new girl on our floor." Yukiko waves you towards her.
Awkwardly you walk through the doorway as Yukiko steps back, leaning her body against the door to keep it open. Inside you lock eyes with red orbs. The man sitting at his desk is a large fairly built black male dressed in black cargo pants and a tight fitting grey shirt. His lab coat sits on the back of his chair allowing you to see varying sizes of bandages decorating his arms, most likely products of his quirk.
"Soarin! How very nice to meet you! Love the wings by the way!" He extends his hand to you, even his fingers have bandages on them though it doesn't bother you very much as you take his hand and shake it. His palm makes your hand feel like it's the size of a newborn baby's, but other than that his grip is tender enough to not crush your bones.
"Nice to meet you Bandage and thank you!" The male beams at you and retracts his hand adjusting his glasses on his face. The frames are black, they frame his face rather well but a part of you wants to use your quirk on him, "Not to be rude but are those prescriptions?"
The male is taken aback by your sudden question, "Yes, they are. I've had them since I was around seven years old. Why?"
"His fiancé would prefer him with out them." Yukiko remarks, having read your file she no doubt caught onto your odd question.
Bandage's eyebrows knit on his forehead as he sends Yukiko a brief glare, she responds by sticking her tongue out causing the male to return the childish gesture.
You giggle at their interaction, "Bandage, would you like to live without your glasses?"
The male's framed eyes return to meet yours, "I'm not sure what you're implying but I suppose the short answer would be yes."
