Hawks couldn't get the question out of his mind. Ever since he made it official with you he had to resist the part of him that wanted to have sex. It's not a necessary impulse he absolutely needs to indulge– if you wanted to wait he'd have no problem with it. He can be patient if he puts his mind to it, but the question itself still floats in the air. When?
When will you be ready? The last thing he wants to do is pressure you too early or find himself in a situation where he has to back off and cool down with guilt weighing in his gut for rushing things sooner than you had in mind. He wants his first experience with you to come naturally. He wants you to enjoy yourself and he'd be damned if he didn't make sure of that.
He's on your couch with you snuggled up in his arms, legs draped over his lap as you snuggle closer to his side.
He'd gotten off patrol earlier today so he could spare some time at your place. The way you perked up when you saw him arrive through your balcony window made the man's heart swell with warmth. He could get used to this reaction from you each time he came to visit.
After a long moment of silence he voices the burning question on his mind. "So..." you respond to the pause by lifting your head off his shoulder. "I know it's still early and this might be a bit sudden, but I need to ask– when are we going to have sex?"
His forwardness catches you off guard, in spite of knowing that this particular subject would eventually be brought up. A nervous laugh escapes your lungs. "Right, um, about that.."
Frankly, you have a strong standing on children. After all, Hawks did say he wants to cum inside you and unless you're infertile or on the pill, pregnancy is soon to follow. Condoms are a thing but you prefer the..raw experience. Most women would go on birth control and consider it enough.
However, you're not "most women". This opinion is rare (as far as you know). Hero work will always come first before starting a family, contrary to what you might say and/or think about during your heats. In addition, you have not once wanted kids. The desire just isn't there.
A few weeks ago while digging for a more permanent solution than the pill, you found a doctor who had a unique quirk, one who'd been (ironically) passing down this gene from generation to generation. The ability to make someone infertile.
Discovering this woman felt like a huge weight had been lifted off of your shoulders. On her website it said she's willing to take young patients such as yourself.
The procedure itself would take a few minutes at most— the paperwork and waivers you'd have to sign... would take much longer. And if you absolutely, positively change your mind, her brother (who has mutated to have the reverse of the family quirk) could bring your fertility back.
Side effects may include a full week of headaches, fatigue, sluggishness, difficulty concentrating, increased labito, and many more things that run in the low percentages. But what really caught your attention was the lack of menopause on that list. Your cycles would continue to operate normally. The only change made to your body is your eggs. They simply can't be fertilized.
There's just one problem: you haven't set the appointment yet.
Nibbling on your lip, you take Hawks' hand, thumb running over his calloused palm as you stare at it. He waits patiently for your answer. "Soon..."
