So maybe your first week was a little rough around the edges, there was still a lot of good things that happened, you met lots of new faces including a certain number 3 pro hero, you restored eyesight in one of your coworkers, learned how to deal with asshole type heroes, found a great café nearby during your lunch break, and got to heal lots of people, ending your shift just after sun down most days. Working as a healer at the agency means that you work longer than the average 9 to 5 person. Instead your shifts look more like 8 to 6 which isn't too bad when you have some pretty neat co-workers to work with.

Looking down at the paging device in your hand as you fly home you wonder if you'll ever be paged in the middle of the night, though Yukiko did say that office hours end at 10 that still leaves a 4 hour window for emergency calls. She also didn't specify if anyone might page you outside of office hours. You wonder if there will be nights where you are out on patrol with Shuji and you get a page in the middle of a fight. Or if you'll be in the shower one night and your pager goes off right as you're grooming your wings. You sigh at the new responsibility, reassuring yourself that whatever happens you will handle it when the time comes. Placing the pager on the waistband of your leggings as you land you walk into the house, your nose immediately meeting the smell of dinner.

"Keda! I'm home!" Kicking off your shoes at the front door you make your way across the wood floors as you head to the kitchen.

"Welcome home little blue! How was your day?" Shuji welcomes you with a warm hug. You tell him all about your day, your eyes sparkle brighter than the constellations in the sky as you talk all about the good moments in your day. You never mentioned to him about your encounter with the pro hero, that's something you want to keep for yourself. You did however tell him about how Double Dose came very close to knocking a guy out with her quirk because he was being extra fresh with the two of you. Shuji is more than happy to listen to you as he finishes cooking up dinner.

After dinner you help Shuji clean up and put away the dishes. The two of you sip on tea and enjoy one another's company before he stands up "Time for patrol, are you coming or did work suck the life out of you?"

You smile up at Shuji, putting down your now empty cup of tea "Are you kidding? You've worked me harder in two hours than I did all day. Of course I'm coming with."

Patrol went all the way up until 11 before the two of you called it a night. Crashing onto your bed after changing out of your night hero costume you sigh and let the cool sheets of your bed envelope you as unconsciousness takes hold of your mind.

You awake to the sound of your pager going off. Your wings fly upward into the air, flinging your blankets off of your bed. You stumble off of the mattress and grab the pager, the notification reading "4th Floor, Stab Wounds", you look at your clock the time reading 6:23. Hastily, you get dressed into a deep red bodysuit and dark grey leggings, securing the pager to your waistband. Quickly you brush and style your hair before running down the stairs, the kitchen empty and no sign of Shuji.

He must still be asleep, it is kind of early, I'll just grab breakfast at the café on my way there.

You throw on your shoes, grab your purse and stuff it into your work bag. Flying as fast as you can you land at the café and order yourself a cup of coffee with rice, eggs, and chicken. As you take your receipt an elderly woman taps your shoulder.

"Excuse me. I couldn't help but notice that you ordered chicken yet you carry wings on your back. Wouldn't eating chicken be considered cannibalism?" You've gotten this question before, it's not uncommon for people to question your dietary methods considering your appearance.

"My wings are based off of an owl, so in a way it is cannibalism however an owl is a bird of prey so it's common for them to eat other birds. On top of that the only bird feature I hold is my wings so I am mostly human. I hope that clears up any confusion for you." Though it's not entirely true that the only bird feature about you is your wings, you don't much care to go into all of the details about you and your bird-like tendencies. A stranger no matter how sweet doesn't need to know all of the nitty gritty details about you.
