Chapter 7
We arrive at the boat house and there is no one there it’s completely silent no movement well if you count the birds in the sky and the waves crashing along the boards that lead into the sea. The boat house itself is made out of old fashioned wood it’s actually quite big to be a boat house it looks like there could be an upstairs and a downstairs and actually looks like someone lives here but thank goodness their not at home right now.
We walk into the boat house and the first thing I see is Hunter. I try to run but I’m surrounded by his goons and not just two or three. No roughly around 20.
“Take him upstairs” Hunter points to Will and then Stan who I hate even more than Hunter grabs me violently and throws me into a metal chair and ties me to it. Shit, I should’ve seen this coming but I was so bent on getting revenge and ending this I wasn’t thinking clearly. Hunter is over playing on a laptop hitting the keypad and then he brings it over and comes down to my level. Stan grabs my face and makes me look into Hunter’s eyes.
“Let’s get this over with then” I try avoiding looking into his eyes but where Stan’s hands are his hands have replaced them leaving every part of body shivering with fear. Hunter has a way of blinding you with his eyes and if you listen to him he can deceive you into thinking that he is your perfect guy and your perfect match.
“That would be too easy” he keeps his eyes locked on mine as he says it and I know he is planning something far worse he won’t let me win that easy. He turns the laptop round and hits a button. On the screen Will is with Stan, I never even heard him leave. Stan lifts his hands and hits Will on the jaw and the chair that he is tied to collapses in a pile but Stan doesn’t stop he kicks him in the stomach. Will cries out in agony and I try my best to get out of the chair and reach him but it’s useless. Stan hits him again and he chokes and splutters having the wind knocked out of him and then he coughs up blood. I can’t take it anymore I have to do what Hunter wants but if he wants me so badly then why did he leave to let me bleed to death?
“STOP, NO PLEASE!” I scream into the computer wanting to just grab Will and hold him in my arms forever.
“I will do whatever you want just please don’t hurt him!” I cry even louder and then Hunter takes out a mobile and says one word “stop” he ends the call and looks back down at me.
“Really this is what it takes to bring the great Rachel down? Why didn’t I do this in the first place? Oh well you learn from your mistakes”
Hunter leaves the room not realising that I have freed my hands and at once I get up and run.
When I find Will he is really badly beaten. I hardly recognize him if it for his big brown eyes. I free his hands and he stands up beside me examining every inch of my body. We both run out of the room and we run into the next closet which has old cleaning chemicals. PERFECT. Finally my dad’s training is being put into use I remember every night he would sit up with me until I got it right and knew what chemicals worked best and now all the nights of no sleep have finally paid off because if my dad had have never shown me how to make a bomb there would be no escape for me right now. I walk up and down the storage room and pull out the some chemicals and put them into a bucket and grab another chemical that I know is flammable but I can’t remember the name of it. I pour it into the bucket and set it alight with a lighter sitting on the counter. As soon as I throw it into the bucket I grab Will and jump out the window and out into the sea.
I’m going absolutely frantic in the water if there is one thing that I hate more than needles it would be water. What if there are sharks? I look back amongst all the wooden planks that are burning leaving nothing but thick black smoke there is no way they could’ve survived that it would take a miracle they’re defiantly dead. I swim towards Will and together we make our way to the shore. Will’s blood is spilling into the sea and I think I see a shark but it’s just a dolphin but still when there is a dolphin a shark is never far off. I remember reading somewhere that sharks can smell blood from miles away and I’m so nervous right now because Will has left a pool of blood in the sea.
We reach land and I throw myself onto the dry sand that is so hot that I dry out instantly. I lie out of breath and panting. Will collapses beside me he has stopped bleeding I think the salt water must have helped his cuts but still I’m relieved that there were no sharks I don’t think I could’ve handled that.
“That was awesome, look Rachel I know that it will be a while before you trust anyone but the past few days I’ve spent with you have been amazing. I don’t remember my past but I want to remember my with you” he pulls me close and my breath catches in my throat as he kisses me “Will you be my girl friend?”
“Let me think” I kiss him again
“So is that a yes?”
I laugh “Of course Sam and AJ are gone, Hunter’s dead babe can we just go back to Paris?”
“Say it again”
“Babe”
“Let’s go” I take his hand and we walk off into the sunset
Hunter’s POV
She actually fell for it she thinks I’m dead. Little did she know that we planted everything I made it so she would escape but she doesn’t know this, I planted the chemicals and I faked my death?
“Hunter we have to go she could come back”
“She won’t I’m dead remember”
“What now?”
“Now the fun really starts”
“Is it that time?”
“Hell yeah she won’t know what’s hit her”
“So what are you waiting for Hunter?”
“For her cave”
