Chapter 22
I’m back at our apartment with Andy and Ella when Justin and Sam come crashing through the door.
“Star your mother is dead” Justin pants
“What? Are you sure?”
“Yes Lucas is with her now and he is asking for you”
“Andy stay here I’ll be back later”
“Let me come, star fish”
“No you need to stay”
I walk out the door and feel like my head is going to explode. This is the women who was supposed to love me, care for me and be there for me but she never was and now she is dead but an actual fact she has always been dead to me.
Justin’s POV
I’m walking Starlet down the hall to her dead mother when I notice a red – brown stain, it can’t be wine because I know she doesn’t drink so that leaves only one alternative blood.
“Star did you get hurt?”
“YEP Sam shot me”
I am beyond furious this little pill thinks he is above everyone. I have seen the way he treats everyone but he will not treat Starlet that way. I grab him by the scruff of his neck and force him back up into the wall.
“You shot your leader?”
“It was her own fault she jumped in front of some guy and the bullet hit her instead of him”
“HER? HER? YOU WATCH HOW YOU ADRESS THE LADY IT’S EITHER STARLET OR ALPHA UNDERSTAND ME?”
He nods his head and lucky he did or I would have taken into him like a ton of bricks and no one not even Starlet could stop me.
“Chill I was only messing”
He better be very afraid because next time he won’t be so lucky.
Starlet’s POV
I see Lucas sitting on a chair looking very calm and relaxed.
“Hey Luke, how you holding up?”
“Good actually. You are in charge now, you make the choices and no one will question it”
I walk over to the black body bag and zip it down I need proof that she is really dead. I look into my mothers eyes no one shut them so I shut then this is the last time her eyes will see the light of day. my real mother was nothing like me and I’m nothing like her. I always dreamed off finding my mum but then I did and she turned out to be nothing more than a monster.
“Room one I want all the weapons taken out that will be our mission room”
“A mission room?” Sam asks
“Yes that is where we begin our search for Jenny and Hunter”
“Thank you Starlet” Justin nearly cries but he is strong not to show his emotion in front of anyone.
“Room 2 I want it to be a dating centre and the rest will all become places for orphans “
“Starlet what about law and punishment?” Sam asks once again undermining my authority and I see Justin clench his fits.
“I won’t shoot anyone but there will be consequences and one will be getting kicked out” I take a deep breath “Sam where’s Anna?”
“Follow me”
I follow him down to a deserted corridor at the end there is a big yellow door. Sam opens it and I see Anna.
“R....Starlet”
“Where’s Alicia?”
Anna steps back and Alicia crawls under her legs. I bend down and pick up my little daughter but she starts to cry and it nearly breaks my heart.
“I’m sorry Star”
“No it’s OK, it’s better this way and I know she is safe”
Sam kisses Anna full on the lips and it’s not a sweet kiss it’s more like a forceful bitter kiss.
“Sam would you give me and Anna some privacy please?”
“Sure.... Just a few minutes though Alicia has to go to bed soon”
“Sure” I wait until Sam has left the room then start talking to Anna.
“How are you Starlet?”
“Fine”
“I’m sure this is a lot to take in being the Alpha and all”
“Yea, why didn’t you tell me?”
“I had to keep it a secret to protect... Sam”
“Do you love him?”
“I adore him and he’s my life literally”
Sam explodes through the door before I can ask any more questions.
“Sorry Starlet but times up”
“Alright, you two love birds have a nice evening”
“We will tell Andy I said hi”
“Bye” I walk out the door and Sam slams the door shut.
Sam’s POV
After Starlet has left I turn to Anna.
“What did you tell her?”
“Nothing I promise I told her nothing” she cries and there was a time when if a girl cried I would try and soothe her but not anymore. Tears are only to try and make us men seem weak. Well I am not weak she is.
I hit her and she falls to the floor holding her cheek I almost laugh at her pitiful attempts to get away from me. I grab her and make her look straight into my eyes and I am satisfied when all I see is fear.
“SH SH SH, don’t cry babe she will be back with Hunter in no time at all. Now take Alicia to bed and then me and you can have some fun”
She picks up Alicia and runs up the stair fast as lightening.

When I hear her coming back down the stairs I waste no time taking off my shirt. I run to her slamming her up against the wall and kiss up her neck. Then I look up at her tear filled eyes.
“Don’t cry babe we are going to have some fun”
I start to unbutton her green dress and she sobs. If only she has have kept her nose out of Hunter’s business she wouldn’t be here right now but lucky for me she didn’t.
