I break free from Stan and run to Lucas with Alicia following she gives me a great big hug and I feel her little tears. I pull myself together and grab the gun Lucas used before anyone can reach me and I point it straight at Sir Rengo.

I lift the gun Andy winks at me and in one swift motion I send a bullet right through Rengo’s heart and he falls to the ground. My so called mother falls to her knees clutching his dead body in her arms.

Andy and Justin take the opportunity and get themselves free I’m not sure how but I don’t care as long as they are free. I’m so focused on them that I don’t see Hunter grab Alicia until I hear her screaming for me.

I run after her and there is no sign of either of them, then I fall to the ground from a blow to the head. I turn around to see my mother pointing a gun at me with shaking hands.

“I knew I should have just killed you but I wanted control over Mr President what better way than his daughter. I should have killed you the minute you were born! Now I make my mistake disappear and my mistake was you I should have never let you live!”

Her finger lingers on the trigger and I sigh in relief when I see my father sneaking up behind her with his own gun. He shoots her but his aim is off so it hits her shoulder and she drops the gun so I grab it and shoot her three times in the heart.

“I’m no mistake!”

“Andrew took care of Stan and the others, now go Hunter can’t escape!”

I run away to find my daughter.

“Hunter, would you seriously take your own daughter hostage?”

I listen to see if I can hear anything and after a while I hear muffled cries and screams. Hunter comes behind me and whacks me to the ground. I try to get up but he has my body pinned down with his weight and I fight the hand he is holding the gun in so that it flies across the room.

He pulls my hair and I scream he knocks my head off the floor and blood spills out onto the floor.

“PLEASE MY DAUGHTER IS WATCHING!”

“SHUT UP YOU’RE WEAK, YOU ALWAYS HAVE AND ALWAYS WILL BE BUT WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO LEARN THAT HERO ALWAYS DIES IN THE END!”

I watch as Alicia comes out from behind a curtain and runs to the gun, she picks it up and my heart goes to my throat again.

Hunter turns around and is shocked but I’m more worried what if she shoots herself.

“Alicia give daddy the gun please”

“NO!”

“Alicia give it here there’s a good girl”

“Alicia listen to mummy put it down”

“Stupid little girl give it here!”

“No!”

“As soon as you turn sixteen you will be getting an arranged marriage to one of my friends! Now give me the gun”

“Give the gun to mummy!”

“Shut up you stupid b****”

He wraps his hands around my throat and I feel my breath slowly sliping away. I claw at his hands but he squeezes even harder.

“Me help my mummy!”

There is a loud band and I scream Hunter releases my throat and falls to the ground clutching his side he puts his hand on the side and it comes up covered in blood. I get to my feet and run to Alicia taking the gun from her and cradling her in my arms. Andy comes into the room and shoots Hunter until he stops moving.

“It’s always the bad guy who dies in the end” I whisper

Andy drops the gun and runs to me he lifts me off the ground and kisses me.

“I love you starlet”

“I love you too agent”

“I can explain”

“You don’t need to”

“Starlet?” my real father says with a sad smile on his face. He looks down at the ground and I embrace him in a hug.

“I love you dad”

“I love you too my little Star”

“I believe you already know my husband”

“Yes” he shakes Andy’s hand

“Sir I’m sorry”

“For what?”

“Marrying your daughter” my father starts to laugh

“Thank you Andrew you have given my daughter the thing I hoped she would always find true love”

“This is my oldest daughter Alicia , my youngest is Ella- Rose”

“I look forward to meeting my granddaughters”

“Are there any other secrets that I need to know?”

“No there are no more secrets”
