Chapter 8
It’s been a week since Hunter’s death and I’m in the library studying yeah right. As soon as we came back to Paris everything fell into place me and Will immediately became the “it” couple and Will gained status as a popular guy. It’s his birthday tomorrow and everyone has helped me pull of the perfect surprise party I just hope he likes it. I decide I have done enough studying for one night and start to head back to my dorm which I now have all to myself. I yawn as I walk up the stairs and before I can even blink a person wearing a black balaclava knocks me off my feet and I fall to the third step. I crawl to my knees and reach my hand to my head as the person comes running down the stairs thank god no blood. I use the railing to pull myself up off the stairs and stand. The person has reached me now and grabs my arm but thankfully a group of teenagers come round the corner and the person run I try to follow but whoever it’s is gone in minutes. I climb the stairs I cannot tell Will this it will ruin the birthday mood.
Unknown POV
“Sir Rengo she got away”
“What? She got away from my top assassin. I thought I told you Carmico to bring her alive the clock is ticking we need her”
“Sorry Sir We... I will get her next time”
“Yes we will but you won’t “Sir Rengo shoots him dead to the ground without even a hint of remorse
“Don’t send a fool to do a man’s job”
Rachel’s POV
The day of Will’s birthday arrives faster than I expected it took a hell of a lot of planning but everyone pitched in once they knew it was for Will. I get all spruced up for Will’s surprise party.
As soon as I come into the hall I get everyone to hide. The girls grab the guys and hide under the tables and a few back stage and some just crouch down and hide in the pile of blue balloons that are scattered all over the floor. Will comes into the hall and they all jump out
SURPRISE!
I think they scared him because he jumps back. The DJ starts the music and everyone goes wild they all start dancing and a few balloons pop under their feet. Will grabs my hand and leads me into the crowd of mad dancers.
“You’re amazing you know that?” he kisses me and then breaks away leaving me begging for his kiss.
“Just one thing” he eyes me in a weird way that I’ve never seen before
“What?” I nearly shake him and I don’t even know I’m doing it until Will grabs my hands
“Come with me” he pulls me toward the front of the crowd and to the massive stage “Guys my girl friend here is going to sing a song” he hand me a mike “Will I can’t” I go to run off the stage but he keeps me there
“Come on for me”
“Fine”
The music begins and I start to sing naturally by Selena Gomez. The crowd gathers around the stage but I keep my eyes on Will.
After I have finished the song it’s like the DJ could read my mind and a slow song starts. Will leads me off stage and we begin to dance in perfect time.
The music comes to an abrupt end and one of the guys brings out a cake with nineteen candles that are lit. He is about to blow out the candles when the school mascot comes in and lifts him up. I start to laugh not at someone picking him up but the fact that it’s an eagle. There is a massive bang I turn round thinking it’s a gunshot but it’s only a balloon. Will is laughing and telling the eagle to put him down. The mascot lets go off Will and he falls face down on the ground.
