"One teaspoon of paprika?" you said aloud to yourself as you read over the recipe on your phone.
It was Sunday night and Pete was coming over to your apartment in a few hours for your date. You hadn't told him what you had planned, so he probably thought that he was just picking you up, but in reality, you had planned a night in with Pete. You were attempting to cook a nice dinner for the two of you but you were experiencing some difficulties with the recipe as you were missing a couple of ingredients. You decided to call Raven who was an excellent cook. You asked her if there were any substitutes that you could use for the ingredients that you were missing. Raven offered some solutions which calmed you down and you thanked her for her help before ending the phone call and getting back to work.
A few minutes later, you got a text from Pete.

You smiled to yourself. There was no indication that he knew you were planning a night in.
