Y/N's POV:
You rolled over in the bed so that you could check the time on your phone. It was just past 8:00 AM on Christmas morning and knowing your family, they would already be downstairs anxiously waiting to open presents.
You leaned down and gave Pete a kiss on the cheek in hopes that it would wake him up. He slowly opened his eyes, giving you a goofy smile when he saw your face.
"Merry Christmas, Pete," you said before giving him a kiss, this time on the lips.
"Merry Christmas, sweetheart," Pete said, his raspy morning voice putting butterflies in your stomach.
"Ready to go open some presents?" you asked.
"Can we just lay here for a few minutes?"
You nodded your head as you leaned down next to Pete, your head resting on his chest as he ran his fingers through your hair. You traced his tattoos, becoming completely mesmerized in the designs even though you had seen them numerous times.
"Okay, I'm ready. I can't wait for you to open my present," Pete said as he got up from the bed and pulled a sweater over his head.
You got dressed and quickly brushed your teeth before you and Pete walked downstairs and joined your family in the living room.
"Merry Christmas!" your mom exclaimed.
"Merry Christmas!" you and Pete said in response before you sat down on the couch next to each other.
"Well, now that everyone is here, let's open some presents!" your mom said.
You smiled as Max started passing out presents. It was just the five of you right now but other family members would be coming over for Christmas dinner which you were looking forward to as you didn't get to see them for Thanksgiving.
Everyone began opening their first round of presents and you smiled at the fact that your family had also gotten presents for Pete even though they only had a week's notice to plan for his presence.
One at a time, everyone held up what they got and showed it off to the group. You all continued doing this for a few more rounds, the gifts piling up on the floor at your feet, before it was time for the final presents. You don't know if Max did it on purpose, but you and Pete's gifts for each other were part of this last round.
"Okay, since this is the last round, let's open these one at a time instead of all at once," your dad said.
Your mom, dad, and brother went first, opening their gifts as everyone else watched. Then it was time for you to open the present from Pete. The gift was in a large bag and you had to remove the tissue paper at the top before you could pull out anything. You reached inside the bag without looking and the first things that you pulled out were two picture frames with the same pictures that Pete had in his dressing room at SNL.
