"Fuck you! Piece of shit," you yelled. You knew no one could hear you but your road rage came out even when you were alone. It was the Friday night before Halloween and you were driving to Pete's house where you were picking him up on the way to a party that he had invited you to.
Tonight was supposed to be girls' night and since it was almost Halloween, the four of you had planned on all going to a party together. However, your friends insisted that you go to the party with Pete instead since you were now officially his girlfriend. You told Raven, Tessa, and Aspen to send you pictures from their party and they asked for you to do the same so that it didn't completely feel like you four were separated.
You were both excited and nervous about the party. Excited because you would get to see Colson and Megan again, the two of them flying out to New York from Los Angeles so that they could attend the party, but nervous because you would be meeting Pete's other friends for the first time and only a week after you and Pete had made your relationship official.
"Hey, I'm here," you called Pete on the phone as you drove up to his house.
"Okay, I'll be right out," Pete said. He had told you to stay in your car and not come up to the door so that you wouldn't run into his mom. It wasn't that he was trying to hide you from her, it just didn't feel right to have the first time meeting her be like this.
You and Pete had already made plans for you to come over for dinner with his mom and sister next week, so you didn't feel too bad about avoiding Pete's mom now, knowing that you would get to properly introduce yourself next week.
You saw Pete walking towards your car so you unlocked the doors before he got in.
"Hey, babe," Pete said as he got into the car, leaning over the center console to kiss you.
"Hey," you said, "Ready to go?"
"Let's do it," Pete said, a smile on his face.
You started driving, the location of the party already entered into your phone.
"I'm so excited for you to meet everyone!" Pete said as he held onto your thigh while you drove.
"I'm excited too! Nervous also though," you admitted.
"I'm confident that everyone will love you. And if they don't, then that's their loss because you are amazing, sweetheart."
You blushed at Pete's kind words, looking over at him as you stopped at a red light, "Thanks, Pete."
You continued driving to the location of the party, eventually pulling up to a beautiful house that you could probably classify as a mansion.
"Geez, whose house is this?" you asked.
"One of my buddies is renting it just for tonight. Pretty sweet huh?"
"Yeah, it's fucking amazing," you said as you parked the car down the road, not being able to find a spot near the house.
