You woke up, immediately taking note of the fact that the weight on top of your body that you fell asleep with was now gone. You opened your eyes, confirming that Pete was no longer on top of you on the couch. You got up and walked around the apartment but were unsuccessful in your search for your boyfriend.

Where the fuck is he?

You decided to wash your face and brush your teeth as you always did first thing in the morning.

You had just walked out of the bathroom when you heard a knock at the front door.

You hurried towards the front of your apartment and opened the door to find none other than the missing man in question, a bouquet of flowers in his hand.

"Happy one-month anniversary!" Pete exclaimed. He handed you the flowers before giving you a kiss on the cheek.

"Pete, you remembered?" you asked, a look of shock on your face.

"Of course I did," Pete said as he followed you into the kitchen where you put the flowers in a glass vase.

"Pete, this is so sweet," you said, "I feel bad, I didn't get you anything."

"You don't have to get me anything, sweetheart. You're already the best present I could ever ask for."

You blushed at Pete's comment before walking over to him and throwing your hands around his neck, giving him kisses all over his face.

"So, I take it you like the flowers," Pete said with a laugh.

"I love them," you said, "So, what's on the agenda for our one-month anniversary?"

"I was thinking a picnic date in Central Park if you're up for it."

"That sounds amazing!" you exclaimed.

Pete smiled at your positive reaction to his suggestion, "We can pick up food on the way there unless you have stuff here."

"I can throw together a picnic basket real quick," you said.

"Sounds good, is there anything I can help with?"

"Ummm, can you maybe help clean up all of the spa stuff from last night?"

"Yeah, of course," Pete said.

The two of you got to work, you on the picnic basket and Pete on cleaning the living room.

Once you had put everything together in the picnic basket, deciding on sandwiches and a bottle of pink lemonade, you went into your bedroom to get ready for the date.

You kept your hair and makeup fairly natural before picking out and putting on a pink floral dress that was perfect for a picnic date.
