I watched Caroline lean against my car playing a game on her phone. She scrunched up her nose in frustration looking absolutely adorable. I unlocked the doors and she went inside without taking her eyes off her phone. By the time I got in the driver's seat she was sulking in the back, probably because she lost.

I looked back at her, "hop to the front, Ash is going over to Tris'."

Ash was pissed off at me for teaming up with Caroline and not supporting her dress argument. I don't get this women stuff, that's why I like hanging out with Care, she was different... special.

Unlike normal girls, Caroline decided to wiggle herself into the seat. She had her rear in my face. Holy shit. I tried to look anywhere else. How can I be such a guy at a time like this, she's your best friend Cole get a grip. I finally forced my head to turn out the window before Caroline's sneaker hit my shoulder. Okay good I needed that to get my head in place.

"Um, sorry?" Caroline asked.

I shook my head clear. What's going on with me?

I watched Caroline barge into my house like it was her own and I couldn't help but feel happy. She is one of our own, family, remember that Cole.

"C!" Danny's head popped from the family room. He walked over and gave her a big hug. "I missed you kiddo."

Anger coursed through me for some reason. Chill out Cole, this is Danny for fucks sake.

"I think you broke my spine," she groaned. "But I missed you too you fart. Where's Angie?"

"She's putting Hayley to sleep."

"The booger's asleep already?" I frowned. Damn it, I really missed her, I thought maybe she could be a good distraction.

Caroline starting asking questions about food like she usually does. This girl's appetite was one of the things I admired her for, especially when I see other's reactions of how such a small body can consume so much.

"Sweet, need any help?" she asked. We all jumped up to stop her. I couldn't help but smile at the memory of attempting to bake a cake with Caroline, but ended up almost burning the house down. She was my oldest and newest memories.

We ran away to the family room where Alex had his nose buried in a law book. I smacked his head with a pillow, "hey nerd."

"Leave me alone Cole, go make out with your girlfriend," he said pointing to Caroline. Making out with Caroline... I wonder how that would be- oh shit no! I was going to get him for putting those thoughts into my head.

"Hey baby, I think he's jealous don't you?" she asked me. Call be baby again- ugh Cole you need therapy. "Should we show him some love?"

Yes, let's show him some love. I attacked Alex with Care right behind me. One by one my brothers started to join.

"Boys you're crushing her!" Angie's voiced was what made them get off us.

Caroline rolled off us moaning on the floor, she had to make that sound? Wait no, she could be hurt, "Care?"

"Yo I think she's dead," said Zach kicking her, even though it was barely a nudge I wanted to punch him for it. But she wasn't moving.

"Come on Cole, you're the golden boy, give her CPR," Alex said.
