"Cole! Wake up you lazy bum we're going to be late!" I yelled into the talkie after my hours of yelling to his window didn't work.

I heard a loud thump before Cole's window flew open.

"What?" he grunted.

"Idiot, look at the time."

Cole picked up his phone from the night stand before his eyes flew open. He swore before flinging his shirt off, trying to find something clean to wear. I leaned against my window sill enjoying the rush and struggle of Cole first thing in the morning. Not because he had an amazing body that I got a perfect view of, but because he tripped on a pair of sneakers and I got it all on video. The boys are gonna love this.

"I swear Care if you show that to anyone you're dead," he threatened buckling his seat belt.

"Just drive you sour puss."

"Shit, we still need to pick up Ash!"

"Don't worry loser, I already called her she said one of those pompom girls will pick her up," I said.

"Ugh she's going to bitch about this all day," he moaned. "And they're called cheerleaders."

"Whatever, same thing. What's got your panties in a bunch?" I asked.

"I couldn't sleep," he yawned.

"Why so? Mr. Cole Lucas Thomson! Did you... You know... Do the thing?" I asked. Cole's biggest secret: he was still a virgin.

"What? No! Care!" he chocked on his own saliva. Gross.

Relief coursed through me, I don't know whether or not I would want Cole to tell me if he did ever do it or not. "Then what?"

"I've been thinking," he admit.

"You've been doing that a lot lately, what's wrong? You've been off."

"Not yet Care, I'll tell you when I'm ready," he said. I admired that about Cole, he always told me everything. If it wasn't right away, he took his time getting ready to tell me but he did eventually tell me.

As Cole parked the car, I looked at the time, "shit, maybe if we run fast enough we'll make it to class on time?"

"I'll race you?" he asked.

"Go!" I shouted as I began to run. We were going to be late anyways so might as well have fun.

Our lockers were in the same end of the hall so our race was more intense because we could see how fast the other was going. I was smaller so I managed to get to my locker faster by zipping through the last minute class rushers. Cole just had people move out of his way which had him right on my tail, it was either people moved out of respect of his popularity or because they didn't want to get run over by a 20 foot soccer giant. I pulled out a notebook and shoved a pencil in my pocket before running to class, my little head start gave me an advantage because Cole was way faster then me. He was now catching up. Shit, now he's smirking his victory grin right beside me. We were so captivated in expressing our victory faces to each other that we weren't looking in front on us.

Bam!

We all tumbled down along with our principal Mr. O'Shaughnessy.

"Oh my god Mr. O! I'm so sorry!" I gasped rushing to get up and help him.

"You two! Detention now!" He ordered.

My second detention this month! My dad is going to kill me.

Mr. O walked us to the detention room lecturing us about proper behaviors, "I especially did not expect this from you Mr. Thomson, you are our star pupil. Students look up to you. As someone with high status you should be setting an example to your peers..."
