21: Lavender

Hailey's pov:

I was getting more nervous by the second. I couldn't wait to meet Lavender but I'm scared she won't like me. What if Gabbie doesn't like me? I felt Jack grab my hand like he did in the airplane and he calmed me again. He stopped at a red light and cupped my face in his hands. "It's gonna be ok bubba.... She's gonna love you.." he said and I took a deep breath. I smiled at him and he kept driving. God I love him. It wasn't a long drive so soon enough we were at Gabbie's house.

Jack got out of the car and opened the door for me like a gentleman. Jack went up to the door but stood a bit farther back so they could have a moment together before I saw her. "LAV!!" he yelled as Lav ran to Jack. "DADDA!" She yelled as she hugged Jack. I walked over to Gabbie to introduce myself so things wouldn't be awkward between us. "Hi I'm Hailey! Gabbie right?" I asked putting out my hand for a handshake. "Uh.. ya thats me!" She seemed a bit surprised at how nice I was being and she shook head. She was probably expecting someone rude and jealous but I'm not the type to act like that. We started to talk a bit and she was actually pretty nice. I was a little surprised. I walked over to Jack and Lav and they were adorable together. "Lav look... this is Hailey." I was in awe. She was so adorable. "Hiii." I said and Lav immediately made grabbed hands at me. My face softened and I started to get emotional. I took her from Jack and she rested her head on my shoulder. I covered my mouth with my free hand and hugged Lav tighter. "She really likes you... she doesn't do that with alot of people. Gabbie and I smiled. "Really?" I asked and Jack nodded. All three of us chatted and Gabbie was really nice. "Say Gabbie. Do you wanna come back to the house with us?" I said and Jacks eyes widened a little. "Are you sure lovie?" Jack mumbled and I nodded. "Yeah! I would love to! Can I bring my friend Franny?" Franny... why did that name sound so familiar? I'm sure I'll remember soon enough. "Yeah of course! The more the marrier." She smiled and called her friend out from inside. She walked out and I recognized her. Franny. Shit. That's the girl who Daniel was with before Brook. I was going to regret this. Gabbie got in her car with Franny and I got in the back seat of Jack's car so I could sit with Lav. I was playing with her and the whole ride she was laughing. It was adorable.

Jack's pov:

Hailey was in the backseat with Lav and them playing together was the cutest thing ever. Seeing the two people I love the most happy together just completed me. I haven't felt this happy in a while. I couldn't help but think that this is what it might be like to have a family with her. I cant wait. I don't know what Hailey was thinking inviting Gabbie and Franny. I know she was trying to do whats best but I had bad feeling about this.

Hailey's pov:

Jack pulled into the driveway and we all got out. Gabbie was a bit farther behind us so she wasn't here yet. Jack grabbed Lav and I grabbed her bags. I got a little closer to the door and I could already hear Brook yelling. "Oh God..." I put my head in my hands and Jack laughed as he opened the door. "PUT THAT ON A HIGHER SHELF! MOVE THAT DRINK! WHAT DID I SAY ABOU-" Brook's face softened as soon as she saw Lav. "Oh my gosh.... she's precious.." Brook whispered as she slowly walked closer to Jack and Lav. "All we needed to get her to stop yelling was a baby!?" Zach rolled his eyes. "Seriously!? Xero and I could've made one of those!" Corbyn said and immediately caught himself. Both of their faces turned bright red and we all started laughing. "Can I?" Brook whispered, gesturing to hold Lav. Jack handed her Lav and she hugged Brook. It was like they were in their own world. "God she is a mom." Jack said to me and I laughed. "If there wasn't a baby in my hands I would've shoved you just now." Brook muttered. "I got you." I shoved Jack playfully. "HEY!" he yelled and I laughed. I looked over at Daniel and saw him admiring the both of them. It was adorable.

Daniel's pov:

Seeing Brook hold Lav was the cutest thing in the world. She looked so happy and at peace. "I want one..." I heard her mumble and my eyes widened a bit. Maybe someday we can have one. Damn our babies would be cute. I see Gabbie walk through the door behind Jack and internally groan. "Oh hey! There you are." Hailey said to Gabbie. "I see Lav has been kidnapped." She laughed as she saw Brook playing with her. I saw someone else walk through the door and I recognized her quickly. It was Franny. The last girl I was with before Brook. She never showed it but I could tell Brook was always self conscious at the mention of her. Brook's back was turned to the door so she didn't see at first. "Hey everyone!" Franny said and I saw Brook's face change immediately.

Brooks pov:

Is that. No. It can't be. I turned around quickly and saw Franny. I smiled awkwardly and gave hailey a 'what the hell' look. "OH RIGHT!" She said and I shook my head. I smiled and held my hand out for a handshake to be polite. "Hi! Franny?" I asked. "Yep! Thats me. You're Brook-Lyn right?" She asked and I nodded. "Hailey can I talk to you for a sec." I handed Lav to Jack and hailey started to walk away with me. "Oh crap. I'm in trouble." I heard her mumble to Jack and I shook my head. We walked to an empty room and I closed the door. "A heads up would have been nice." I started. "Like you know 'your boyfriends gorgeous ex is coming over so get hot.' or something." "Okay in my defense..." She took a second to come up with an excuse. "I just met my boyfriend's DAUGHTER. There was a lot going on and I forgot." I was about to snap back but she was right. "Ugh.. your right." I muttered and she seemed satisfied with herself. "You're lucky I love you and there's a baby in the house." I said as we walked out.

After a while of all of us hanging out and talking, I started to get a bit uncomfortable. Franny kept flirting with Daniel and it was making me mad and anxious. I never got anxiety attacks but my head would start to spin, I would get weak and start shaking. My breathing would get a little heavy and I would tear up a bit. I started feeling that way so without saying anything I got up and went upstairs to Daniel and I's room. I started breathing a bit quicker and crying more. "Hey baby, you oka- oh my God!" Daniel came up to me and hugged me. "Hey it's gonna be okay. I don't know who she thinks she is but she's not going to get between us." I started to take deep breaths and Daniel gave me some water. "Can you tell me whats wrong now bubba?" He said as I started to calm down and I got major butterflies. "Seriously, Seavey? Now?" "Yeah." He said and I took a deep breath. "I'm sorry for being so dramatic about that whole thing downstairs. It's just when I was young... my dad had an affair with another woman and it ruined my family. It caused so much stress and pain for me and my mom. Every time I'm in a slightly similar situation I get major separation anxiety and I get really scared... I really don't want to lose you because of someone else.." I said and his eyes got glassy. He pulled me into a long hug and kissed my forehead. "You're not going to lose me... I promise." He said and I kissed his cheek. We pulled away and he checked his watch. "I have an idea. We're going to the beach. Grab your bikini." I smiled widely at his idea and rushed through my bag to get my bikini and change. He always knew how to make me feel better. We went downstairs and everyone looked at us weird because we were in bathing suits. "We're going to the beach. Don't look for us." I said as we rushed out the door. As soon as the door closed he picked me up and I wrapped my legs around him, as he ran to the beach and into the water.

Jack's pov:

Right after they left I saw Franny get slightly annoyed. I don't understand why Brook got jealous though. I mean its very obvious she has feelings for Daniel but they aren't in a relationship. I move a bit closer to Hailey while holding Lav and she puts her head on my shoulder. I looked out of the huge window looking out onto the beach. I saw Daniel and Brook playing in the water and I laughed a little. Just before I was about to look away my eyes widened at what I saw. Jeepers nuts! I nudged Hailey and she looked equally surprised. "Oh God." She whipered.
