69: I See The Light

I looked into her eyes and I could tell she was just so happy her dreams over living this scene from tangled were coming true. The lanterns began to float up into the sky and it was amazing. I looked at Hailey and her eyes were lit up, as she had a big smile across her face. The light from the lanterns reflected off her eyes and she looked beautiful.

I lantern came close to falling into the water and she tried to lift it up, like in the movie. She started leaning closer and closer into the water. "Hey bubba careful!" I pulled her up as she almost fell in and we both bursted into laughter. "Be careful. We're gonna get in trouble." I said and smiled at her. Tucking a strand of hair out of her face.

I pulled her closer to me and sat her on my lap. I started singing to her as I lightly kissed her nose. We put out forheads together and continued singing to each other. She out her hand on my waist and put her head on my shoulder.

"Will you make me the luckiest and happiness man in this world.. and marry me?" Tears streamed down her cheeks. "Yes! Oh my God of course yes!" She came down into my arms and I hugged her tight. I put my forehead on hers and put the ring on her finger. I put my hand on the back of her neck and pulled her in as our lips connected. We shared an emotional kiss and i out my hand kn her chest. She stood up in excitement and got on the seat and threw her hands in the air. "Excuse me! Please get down!" Someone shouted from the doc and I could tell Hailey got a little embarrassed and we both bursted into laughter. "I told you to be careful." I said and she playfully pushed my shoulder. "Shut up." We smiled and looked into each other's eyes. "Let's get going inside, my angel." I said and kissed her head. We went back to the deck and walked back to our room hand in hand. We laid in bed, her head on my chest trying to get some sleep. The only light coming in was from the balcony. "I need to go to the bathroom, lovie. I'll be right back." Hailey whispered and I nodded and she got up, taking her phone with her, and walked to our bathroom.

Tears welled up in my eyes as I rethought my answer to him. As I rethought our whole relationship since I told him about our baby. I cleaned up, washed my hands, and stormed into our room, teary eyed. "Did you only propose because I was pregnant??" I blurted out without even thinking. His eyes widened and he ran up to me.
