34: We're Coming

The Day Before...

Hailey's pov:

I was laying in bed with Jack waiting for him to wake up. He moved a bit closer to me and cuddled into my chest. It was adorable. I loved this feeling. "Morning bubba.." His voice was raspy. I smiled. "Morning." He pecked my lips. I was scrolling on Instagram and saw something on my feed that made my face soften. "Baby look.." I showed Jack a recent picture Brook posted. He opened his eyes slightly to look, then closed them again. "Is that Brook?... She looks so pretty. When's the last time you guys spoke?" I got sad. I didn't realise how much time had passed. "A couple of months.... I miss her so much.." I got a little emotional and he stroked my face. "I do too..." He kissed my forehead. "Look on the bright side.. She looks so happy." "Happy!?" I looked at him like he was crazy and showed him the picture again. He didn't say anything. "She's miserable." "What!?" I got out of bed and started taking things out of my closet. He laughed a little. "What are you doing...?" "Packing." "....Why?" I stopped for a second and sat next to him. "I'm going after Brook.. You coming?" His eyes widened a bit. "Are you sure you want to do that? What if your mom sees you?" I didn't even think of that. "It's a risk I have to take. I need to get Brook out of there. She's definitely not okay... I can feel it." He smiled as I got up to pack again. He just sat there. "You're adorable, you know that?" I blushed and kept packing. A couple of hours later we were both completely packed and I already booked the tickets on my phone. I was running around all over the place getting ready. Jack grabbed me and pulled me close by the waist. I took a deep breath as soon as I looked into his eyes. "You're sure you want to do this. Right?" I nodded and he kissed my forehead. A few hours later we got in Jack's car and headed to the airport. This was all happening so fast. We got to the airport and headed over to bag check. My phone started to ring and I facepalmed as I read the caller ID. "Oh, shit we have other friends." Jack laughed and it gave me butterflies. "Who is it?" "Kelly." I pick up the phone and she starts yelling. "WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU GUYS! IT'S LIKE TWO IN THE MORNING! I'VE LITERALLY BEEN CALLING YOU FOR THE PAST 5 HOURS AND NO ANSWER!" I pull the phone away from my ear and wait for her to stop yelling. Jack laughed a little. "Kelly? Are you done losing your shit?" I heard Zach laugh. She took a deep breath. "Well get ready to lose it again because Jack and I are going to Toronto. We're getting Brook back." It was silent. I heard a slight "What?" from Daniel. "AND YOU DIDN'T TELL ME!?" "This was so last minute. We literally planned it this morning. We've been so busy all day we forgot to tell you guys!" I explained. "When are you guys coming back?" Xero asked. "Hopefully in the next few days. I don't want to stay there for too long." "Where are you guys right now?" "We're checking our bags." They asked a few more questions and finally hung up. I felt bad for not telling them, but it's not like we were leaving forever. We finished doing everything we needed to do and got on the plane. Jack and I got lucky and ended up sitting next to each other. I couldn't get what Jack said out of my head. "What if your mom sees you?" "Baby, you okay? You're breathing a little quickly." I didn't even notice. I nodded. "You're worried about your mom.. aren't you." I couldn't keep anything from him. I got a little teary at the thought of her finding me. He pulled me close and kissed my forehead. "It's gonna be fine.. Everything is going to be fine.." I smile and put my head on his shoulder. "Thank you bubba." I closed my eyes as I cuddled him and fell asleep.

"Baby... Angel.. Wake up, we're here." I slowly opened my eyes and smile as soon as I saw him. I pecked him on the lips and we both got up. "Isn't it like 7 in the morning?" I rubbed my eyes and yawned. "No. It's 10 because of the time difference." "Brook probably isn't even awake." I mumbled and he laughed. God his laugh. We got out of the plane and grabbed our bags. Jack started to walk outside. "Where are you going?" I laughed a little. "We have to call a cab... Right?" I laughed a little. "We have to ask for them to call one for us silly." He walked back over to me and he looked a little embarrassed. Not long after the cab arrived and we left. We were stopped at a red light and as I looked out the window I did a double-take. I put my head down. "Jack.. JACK.." He looked over and I pointed out the window. He looked and his eyes widened. "Is... Is that your mom?" I nodded. The light turned green and we drove off. As soon as we were far enough I sat back up. "Baby you're shaking.. Take a breath." I didn't even realize. I took a deep breath with him and he held me. "I really don't want her to know I'm here." I looked up at him as he wrapped his arms around me from behind. He pecked my lips. "She won't.. Don't worry princess." I smiled a little. We got to the house and I got really nervous. I didn't know why. It was just Brook. Maybe because you haven't spoken to her in 3 months. I knocked on the door and I felt Jack intertwine our fingers. We looked at each other and smiled as the door opened. As soon as I saw Brook my heart broke. I could tell she had been crying. She had bags under her eyes and she looked weak. "Hailey?" My heart broke hearing her voice. It sounded weak.

Brook's pov

I couldn't believe my eyes. Just like always. When I needed her most, she was there. I ran into her arms and started crying. We hugged for a few minutes and Jack joined the hug. "What.. are you guys doing he-" "Who is it, babe?" My boyfriend walked a little closer. I saw both Hailey and Jack's faces change as they both looked at him. Hailey looked pissed off. "What the fuck is Arvin doing here?!"
