63: One Last Time

Brook's pov:

I saw Jack and Hailey walk out of the room and took a sigh of relief. I heard their whole conversation as I was waiting right outside the door. "Thank you. For everyone in the hospital's ears sake and mine. Thank. You." I said and we laughed. "Hey thank her not me-" Jack said and Hailey playfully pushed his shoulder. "Let's just. Go home please." He said and Hailey and I both laughed. "You mind dropping me off at Daniel's on the way?" I said and jack raised my eyebrows. While I was waiting for jack and Hailey, I saw that Daniel messaged me and we ended up talking for a bit. He invited me over and I didn't have anything else planned so I figured why not? I missed him anyway. "Oh?" Jack smirked. "Shut up. We're just.. hanging out." I said and tried to sound honest. I tried to think of every possible outcome and they all ended in sex. Not that I was complaining. "Oh really? So sex is now 'hanging out.' Hey, bubba we should 'hang out' soon. Like really really soon." Hailey said putting air quotes around 'hanging out' and we bursted out laughing. "You're lucky you're pregnant." I said and she rolled her eyes playfully. "Let's get going." Jack said and we walked out talking and smiling.

Hailey's pov:

I looked at his caption for Jack's post and laughed a bit. "You're really confident it's a girl aren't you." He nodded and smiled. He put his hand on my tummy and rubbed his thumb. "I think it's gonna be a girl too!" Brook said from the backseat. "Of course you do. I'm not surprised-" I said and shook my head "and I'm usually right about this stuff so. Get ready for a girl." I shook my head. I have a strong feeling it was a boy. We pulled in front of Daniel's house. Brook thanked us and got out of the car, walking towards the house. "USE PROTECTION!" Jack yells through the window and I laugh. "SHUT UP!" She said flipping us off and walking into the house. I sigh and shake my head. "What are we gonna do with that one." Jack said laughing. "I don't know. You can't help but love her-" I said and he drove off.

We got home and before I could say anything Jack pinned me against the wall. "We're home." He said smirking. I put my hand on his chest and looked up at him. "Yes. We are." He kissed me aggressively and they turned heated. The next thing I knew he picked me up and he was on top of me in our bed. He kissed and sucked my neck and placed soft kisses in my ear. Well, it's not like I can get more pregnant..

Brook's pov:

I walked into Daniel's house and he was waiting on the couch with a bouquet of roses in a suit and tie. Candles were lit. Lights were dimmed. My jaw slowly dropped and a smiled slightly as he walked over to me. "Hi.. you look absolutely gorgeous." My heart fluttered. He hasn't spoken to me like that in forever. "T-thank you. What is.. all of this?" I said as he wrapped his arms around my waist and he handed me the flowers. I wrapped my arm around his neck as a habit and he kissed me with passion. "I want to try this. Us. I want to start over. Not from boyfriend-girlfriend but from the beginning. Where we were just dating. I wanna start over.. I can't pretend I don't have feelings for you anymore. I do. I have had them for so long. And I know you do too.. so what do you say?" My heart fluttered and I felt the same way I felt when he confessed that long time ago. "I-" "wait before you answer.." he interrupted me and I smiled. He placed a long slow kiss on my lips. I looked him in the eyes and he dragged my bottom lip with his thumb. I looked into his eyes and he put his hand on the back of my neck "I just wanted one last kiss. To remember the moment before we either started out future, Or everything goes to shit." He said and I laughed a little. "Well in that case.." I said kissing him again and the roses in my hand dropped to the floor as my arms snaked around his neck. We slowly walked to his room, not once breaking the kiss. He picked me up and put me on the bed. I got on top of him and started taking off his clothes. "One last time.."

We lay there, Legs intertwined and my head on his chest listening to his calming heartbeat. He kissed my head and I hold him close. "You never did get to answer my question. Did you." He said and we both laughed. My smile slowly faded. "Dani.." I looked into his eyes and put my hand on his cheek. "..I don't know if I'm ready to be in any relationship as if right now. I'm still recovering from the baby and.. Arvin and just everything and I need time to myself. But I still need you which is why this is perfect. No labels. No pressure. Just us. I'm sorry." I kissed him and he barely kissed me back. His smile faded and his grip on me loosened. "I completely u-understand." His voice broke. Fuck I feel terrible. I put my hand on his heart and looked into his eyes. "But I love you.. I love you and that'll never change."
