Chapter 3. Fighting is never good

"Why aren't you letting me be there for you?!" Finn yells, Monday is coming meaning school, everyone is going to be out of the house and since Piper's 3 months into her pregnancy, she's had to do online school, "i'm not letting you drop out!" Piper shouts back, the couple are fighting in Finn's room, "I won't be dropping out! I'll do online like you're doing!" "And not be there for Aurora, Finn's she needs you there for god sakes!" Even though it's 11:30 at night, everyone's awake hearing these two fight, "No she doesn't! It's not like she's actually my sister!" Finn clasped his hands over his mouth, "I can't believe you just said that!" Piper yells, she then gets of the bed and brings a pillow and a blanket, "Where are your going?!" "On the couch so I'm not in here with you!" "You can't sleep on the couch your pregnant! Have you seriously forgotten that?!" "Of course I haven't Finn! I'm the one who's carrying the baby!" Piper screams, a silence comes over then for a minute before Piper takes her phone out, instead of a full happy smile she gets when she looks at her Lock Screen, it's a half hearted one. She clicks on a contacts, "What are you doing?" Finn asks, "Calling James to pick me up." You can't visibly see the panic fly inside Finn, "What no you can't!" Finn says, sitting at the edge of the bed, watching his girlfriend call for her brother, Piper's tapping her foot against the floor, 'does she want to leave that much?' Finn questions in his head, "James! Hi can you-" Finn looks up, he really wishes James was asleep so he can fix things, "Pipes, are you okay? It's almost midnight." "Thanks for the times James." Piper tells her brother sarcastically, "Pipes, we can fix this." Finn says more softly now, but the brunet gives him a look, "Fix what?" James asks, "Nothing, don't even worry about it." "That's my line! What are you keep-" "I need you to come and pick me up. and as soon as possible!" Piper interrupts her brother, "Okay now I know something's wrong, what's going on?" "Nothing, nothing's going on!" She whimpers at the end leans back at the wall, "Okay, okay Pipes just breathe." James says softly to his little sister, he hears her breath in and out and talks again, "You've given me Finn's address before right?" "I think so, I can send it again." Piper begs, "If you really need to, I'll be there in twenty minutes." "Can you get here faster? Please!" Piper begs again, "Piper I'll get there when I get there okay? Just calm, you need to breathe okay?" "Okay, thank you James!"  Piper hang up the phone to see Finn's eyes watering up, "Baby, please, please don't leave." Finn starts begging, "I have to!" Piper yells again, "No! You don't! We can work on this, Pipes please!" Finn steps close to his girlfriend, taking her hands in his, but they're immediately taken back, "I-I have to pack." "You don't." Finn argues, blocking her way, "Finn let me pass!" "I will if you promise your staying, I can't lose you or our baby! Pipes please!" Piper doesn't think twice before pushing Finn out of the way, she turns around right, "Buba - I - I." Piper's holding back tears. "Baby, it's, it's fine." Finn lies, "Actually you know what?" Finn changes his tone in voice, "You can leave!" "What?!" Piper questions, the couple are back to shouting now. "You've never actually been there for me!" "Don't say that Finn! I've been there for you since the first day we met!" Finn scoffs at that, "Finn seriously come on!" "No you come on Piper! I don't know why I ever told you I liked you!" "What the hell are you talking about?!" Piper yells, "You never let me do anything for you anymore!" "Yes I do! I'm letting you be the father of my baby, I let you fall in love with me -" "eventually." Finn mutters so Piper doesn't hear but she did, "That's not fair Finn! You have no idea what happened before I met you!" Finn rolls his eyes, "Don't you dare compare your history to mine ever!" He screams making Piper wince, "Can you two just shut up!" A scream comes from the door, it was Hannah, "I have an early start tomorrow and I don't need my brother and his girlfriend shouting!" She exclaims loudly, "Well that's perfect because we're no longer together!" Finn says, "Just over one stupid fight Finn wha-" Piper was interrupted by the door bell, "Finally, James is here!" Piper exclaims happily yet still annoyed, "Wait Pipes no you can't leave!" Finn said grabbing her arm, "I can! You just said it yourself that we're done so you can't tell me to stay!" The brunet screams, "Don't stay for our relationship then, stay for our baby!" "Finn you just dumped me so I'm telling you this once and once only! You are no longer the father of this baby and -" "Don't say that, I helped you -" Finn was the one that got interrupted this time, "You helped me what? Make the baby yeah at 16 Finn! Maybe if we were older we wouldn't be in this situation!" Piper screams again, having enough of the fighting and crying, she grabs her suitcase and heads out of Finn's room. "Piper wait!" Finn exclaims while trying to catch up to her, he manages to and she turns around, suddenly their kissing, Piper wants to continue kissing Finn but she just wants to get the hell out more, so she pulls away and tells him, "Don't contact me, please!" "Pipes! Pipes!" Finn tries to call out for her but she's at the front door before he could blink three times. James glares at him and says sorry about the shouting to David and Brynn before slamming the door. "Finn." Hannah says calmly, trying to calm her brother, but all he does is ignore her and stomps into his room and slams the door.

Riley's in a comfortable position in a corner on the couch, blanket over her and book in hand, reading glasses on. she looks up when her boyfriend comes back with, his sister?  James told her he was getting shawarmas, not picking up Piper. She sits up properly when she notices her younger 'sister's' tears, "Pi -" the brunet runs past her, "You are not going anywhere until you tell me why I had to pick you up!" James yells, Piper stops at the first step, still crying from her break up with Finn, she falls so she's sitting on the second to last step, and leans her head on the banister. "Pipes." James says softly, she cries more, James goes and comforts his sister by sitting next to her, she leans her head on his shoulders and cry even more.

It's the next morning at Finn's house and the kids are getting ready to leave for school, since Aurora heard the fight last night, she can't even look at Finn. "Brynn says it's time to go." Finn says to Aurora, he still isn't used to calling her mum, so he'll call her mum and Brynn, depending on how he's feeling. "Great, I'll be down in a minute when your out of my way." Aurora says sassily, "Look I didn't mean what I said last night okay Ror?" Finn says softly, "No! Not okay, if you didn't mean it then why did you say it?!" Aurora starts to yell, "I - I, look the important thing is that we're family now!" Finn starts to yell as well, "And you don't go and tell people ball shit about your family!" Aurora just finished putting on her shoes, "Hey! Don't use that language! Your 9 where did you even learn it?!" Finn questions, "You know me too darn well to know that Finn!" She screams, she has her two bags she brings to school over her shoulders and moves past her brother, or should she say 'brother' now. "Rory, you ready?" David asks softly to the youngest kid he adopted, "Yep -" she then looks to the couch to see Oscar, "Piper forgot Oscar?" She asks turning back to her dad, putting her bags down and petting the dog. "Oh, well you and Finn can drop him off-" "Why Finn, he said I'm not his sister." Rory says sadly, "And I'm going to speak him about it, how about I go with you instead then?" David asks softly, Aurora nods her head as she pets Oscar behind the ear.

Morning sickness, she hates it. Piper's in the bathroom throwing up with Riley pulling her hair back, when the brunet finishes she flushed the toilet and sits back so her back is against the wall, "Did you grow over night?" Riley asks noticing Piper's bump is bigger then when she got home last night, Piper looks down to her stomach, "Oh, yeah I must of eh." a smile comes across her face as Piper puts her hands on her stomach, like she does every morning and night. with silence in the air, Piper's thoughts go to her dog, and how she left him at Finn's, "Shit." Piper mutters, , "What?" Riley questions, "Shit, shit, shit!" Piper exclaims almost yelling the last one, "Piper -" "I left Oscar at Finn's and I can't go back." Piper says worriedly, "Do you want me to drive over and get him?" Riley asks nicely, "Please, if you don't mind, I would go with you but we-" Piper cuts her self of with a breath, "We broke up." "I know, I heard you last night, but I am sorry. And I really don't mind." "Are you sure? Because I don't wanna be a burden." Piper says with a scared tone, "Piper, your never a burden okay?" "To Finn I was and he was lying when he said I wasn't." "Don't think about last night too much okay? And you were never a burden to him okay?" Riley suggests softly, standing up, following her boyfriend's sister's lead, "Then why did he break up with me and basically kick me out, yes I wanted to leave but we were fighting and -" Piper's interrupted by the door bell, and a groan, James. The girls laugh, "We'll see who's at the door, I'll get Oscar then we can go out for breakfast. How does that sound? Good?" "Yeah." The door bell rings again and James appears outside of the bathroom, "Either of you care to get that while I go back to bed." James says, raising his eyes. Riley and Piper look at each other, turning to James and saying, "No, you are." In unison, making him groan again.

The door swings open to a really tired James, "Pipes?!" He calls, after a minute of explanation, "Yeah?" Hope glows in Aurora's eyes, she's happy Piper's safe with her brother but, she misses her. "Come down!" James calls out, one her way down she hears barking, "Oh, hey." She says softly and awkwardly, "You left him at ours last night and I thought I'd bring him by." Rory says, "Oh you didn't have to do that but thank you so much." Piper says as she takes Oscar from Aurora, "Did your baby grow over night?" Rory asks, Piper laughs a little, "Yeah, Riley spotted it this morning." Aurora smiles sweetly at that, "We better go if we don't want Rory to be late for school." David said, "Yeah, sorry. Thank you again -" Piper motioned Oscar's lead to near her shoulder, she then looks at David and back to Aurora, "-I'm so sorry about last night, Finn and I should never of shouted like that." Piper apologize, "Don't apologize Piper, Brynn and I are gonna talk to him later about it. Just stay calm and tell us if you need anything okay?" "Okay, thank you." Piper says sweetly.
