chapter 14. first day of school troubles

Going out was not a good idea. When her and Finn got back, Olivia did stay the night but Piper is still up at 3:30am with Molly. She's sitting with her back to her daughter's crib, holding her hand and trying to put her back to sleep. Every time Piper closes her eyes, Molly screams, "Mama!" "Molly, you need to sleep okay baby? I'm right here." "No!" Moll-" Piper leaned her head against the crib, looking at her daughter. The brunet's eyes close again, "Mamaaaa!" Finn entered the room this time, "Finn, she won't sleep." Piper complained, "Every time I close my eyes, she screams, I don't know what I'm doing wrong." Finn sat next to his girlfriend and put his hand on her thigh to relax her, "Hey Molly girl, will go asleep for mummy?" Finn asked soothing her short hair, "No!" Molly screams again, "Molls." Piper soothed, "Let me try something." Finn said quietly, he stood up and picked up his daughter, which Molly started crying and screaming even more.

"You guys are up early." The two heard Millie say, they turn they're head towards Millie, with really tired looks. "Every time we close our eyes Molly screams. We've been up all night." Piper explains, "Don't you start school today?" Finn nodded, it's 6:50am in the morning and the two didn't have to wake up for another 20 minutes, but because of Molly, they've been up all night.
It's now 7:40am and Finn, Piper and Olivia need to leave for school but Molly's not letting her parents leave. "We'll be back soon okay baby?" Piper tried to calm her daughter, who's crying historically on Piper's hip, "No mama!" Molly shouts, "Molls-" "NO!" Molly screams, "Baby shh it's okay, I love you -" Piper put her head gently on her daughter's, "Daddy and I will be back soon okay? Baby it's gonna be okay, I promise." Piper said, Finn came into the room a second after, "Hey, Millie says it's time to go." Finn says softly, "She's not letting me put her down, Finn, I can't go. I'm not leaving her here like this." Piper told her boyfriend, "Let me try and take her yeah?" Finn suggested and Piper nodded. Finn brought his arms out to hold his daughter, but Molly berried her head into her mother's shoulder, "Mama." She cried, Piper giving Finn a seriously worried look. "Guys we gotta leave or else we'll be late." Olivia said entering the room with Iris next to her, "Finn you go and I'll see you later. I'm not leaving Molly here like this." Piper exclaimed, "Pipes, you need to go." Finn insisted but Piper shook her head 'no'. "Let me try and take her and you three get and in the car?" Iris suggested, Piper didn't let Iris take her girl but after a second, she tried passing Molly over, which eventually Molly was in Iris's arms but now crying even more. "Mama!" Molly cried with tears running down her cheeks, Piper was so close to leaving the house, she had one foot outside but when she heard her daughter, she had to see her one last time before leaving. So Piper came back in her gently took a hold of her daughter's hand, kissing the top of her head and saying, "Baby we gotta go but I promise when we get back, we can have lots of cuddles okay?" Molly nodded, Piper kissed her forehead and whispered, "I love you." Piper said before letting go of her daughter's hand, "Thank you Iris, bye." Piper said before leaving the door with a close. But before she fully closed it, she head Molly screaming out 'mama' again which broke her.

".... health and social, and the worst subject of the day, sex education." Olivia read out her time table to Piper as they walked the school corridors. Finn got to know Oakley, one of Olivia's friends pretty well so he's hanging with him. "Wait you have an hour, of sex education?" Piper asked her new best friend, "Yeah, you didn't back in Canada?" Olivia asked in confusion, "Nope, well it was like 45 minutes but it was once a year. We have this class every Thursday?" Piper asked pointing at Olivia's timetable, "The reason why I hate this school." Olivia commented as the two girls stopped at her locker, "This is my locker, if you need one we can get you one that's close by or if there's none free you can share mine." Olivia says sweetly, "I don't think I have that much stuff to need a locker but-" Piper jumped as she felt two hands on her waist, seeing Olivia smirk and laugh, Piper turned around to see Finn and Oakley "You scared me!" Piper exclaimed quietly, "Sorry Pipes." Oakley then asked, "Hey how's your first day going?" "It's going alright, just weird being back here you know? In this environment?" Piper said honestly to her friend and boyfriend, "What classes do you have this after noon." Finn asked as he took a hold of his girlfriend's waist, "The two worst -" "Health and Social and sex education." Oakley joined in with her, "Well maybe I could go to the last one with you?" Finn smirked leaning down to kiss Piper for a second, Piper rolled her eyes jokingly, and all of a sudden the bell went. "See you at the stand?" Oakley said, "Yeah!" Olivia replied, Finn kisses his girlfriend goodbye before heading off with Oakley again, "You know sex education is to show you how to not get pregnant? At a young age anyways?"Oakley asked Finn with a laugh, Finn scoffed, "Shut up." but laughed as well.

Health and social class reminded Piper of Molly, and sex education. She swore that that afternoon, was the longest ever. She was relived when she heard the bell go off for the third, and last time of the day. When Olivia parked the car outside of the house Finn and Piper are living at, Piper took her hand away from Finn's, got out of the car and raced to the front door, ringing the door bell. "Pipes calm down." Finn chuckled, him and Olivia walking to the front doo as well. "We haven't seen her in a year-" "It's been 6 hours Pipes, just calm, she's safe." Finn interrupted, "I know I just want to see her." And like faith, the door opened showing Millie, "Hey! How was school you guys?" She asked, "Good." Piper answered looking at her but then added, "Can I see my daughter now, it's been hours and I can't not wait any longer." "Oh right yeah, come in." Millie chuckles a little. "Mama!" Their daughter's voice was in a much happier then it was this morning, "Molly hey, I told you we'd be back." Piper cooed, "Dada!" Molly exclaimed when Finn came into sight.
