chapter 17. tough nights and separation

Months had past and Finn and Piper fitted in well at their new dance studio in fact, they have the duet for Nationals. Molly's now 2 and a half years old, and Finn is now 17. It's the day that James and Leah go back to Canada. Hannah and Aurora couldn't get the same flight this time so their leaving in two days.

Molly is yet again not going to sleep, and it's late. Well, 11:30 at night. Piper always called near midnight late, Finn only started to when he became a dad.

Piper's in her room with her daughter currently, having Molly cuddled up next to her in her and Finn's bed. The brunet lays on her arm, looking down at her daughter as she strokes her hair, trying to get her to sleep.

"Can you go asleep for me baby girl?" Piper asks her daughter, Molly shakes her head with a muffled, "No." it's muffled because she has her dummy in her mouth. "Molly, you need to sleep." Piper soothed, Molly looks up at her mum, she closes her eyes but they flutter back open a few seconds later making Piper sigh.

"Hey, she still awake?" a soft question came from the entrance of the room. Finn. He enters and smiles as Piper turns her head towards him, "Yeah." Piper's answers,  Finn pecked Piper on the lips before taking his top of and getting into bed next to next to her. With their daughter in the middle. "Dada!" Molly says tiredly, "Hey Molly girl." Finn soothes, "Hi." Molly says with the sweetest smile, making her parents smile with a chuckle, "You need to go asleep, can you do that? For us?" Another shake of the head, 'no.' "Molly, you need to sleep okay? Just close your eyes and relax."

The next morning was really hard to say goodbye to her daughter. Not like normal times where it's just Molly crying and screaming when her parents leave, Piper also cried this morning.

She's not letting go of Molly, and Molly's not letting go of Piper.

"Baby, baby, I'm here I'm not going anywhere." Piper tired soothing her daughter as she has Molly on her hip, Molly crying hysterically and screaming when Finn, Millie or Iris try to take her. "Pipes, we gotta go." Finn says entering their room, "No, no I'm not leaving her here." Piper cries, "Pipes but it's school, we have to go." "No, we don't!" Piper exclaims loudly, "Piper." Finn started but didn't know what to say, "Come on, give her to me." Finn said softly, Piper tried passing her daughter along to Finn but it only made Molly scream, and her sobs louder.

"It's okay, it's okay baby. It's only daddy okay?" that for some reason didn't help as Molly cried more and screamed louder, "shh, shh baby, I'm here. It's okay." Piper trying soothing her daughter, "Finn, I'm not leaving her like this. I've said this before but this time I'm staying." Molly screamed the loudest scream ever when Iris took her from Piper. Piper knew the signs but Finn was not listening to her.

"What's going on?" Olivia asked as she picked her best friends up for school, seeing her best friend crying. Piper ignored her question, and got into the car, slamming the door angrily. She put her seat belt on and didn't speak the whole car ride, all she did was curl up in a ball and cried silently, flinched when Finn tried to hold her hand, and tried to escape when Olivia stopped at traffic lights.

Piper skipped home room, which was weird for Finn. Piper has home room with Finn, Olivia and Oakley so it's usually a good time.

She then skipped Math, which Olivia was now worrying about her best friend.

Olivia and Piper are at their lockers when Finn and Oakley turn up next to them. "Hey, how was math?" Finn asks taking Piper's hands in his, she didn't flinch this time and intertwined their fingers. "She wasn't exactly in math." Olivia said,

"Pipes."

Finn said softly and questionably, looking down at his girlfriend. She didn't say anything so Finn embraced her in his arms,
