chapter 19. 'ghost of you'

A/n: hey, I'm so sorry I haven't posted since it well, like forever ago but I'm posting this chapter now so yeah! I hope u enjoy :)

Since Molly's been babysat by James and Riley for the last couple of days, she's got attached to them. Before Nationals, Piper and Finn went to a therapist to see why Molly acted the way she does every morning when the pair leave the house, and Piper was right. Their daughter is picking up on separation anxiety, which broke both of their hearts but mainly Finn's. He felt bad because he had no idea what was going on.

After James and his band played at the Nationals opened party, he decided to stay and watch his sister perform til she won. Piper of course questioned that, because she didn't know if she was good enough that the team would win it all, but all James said was that he believes in her. "Riles, it's time to get Molly ready for bed." James says to his girlfriend, who's playing with his niece on the hotel bed, "5 more minutes?" Riley asked, making James laugh sitting on the bed. "It's 7:45pm babe, Pipes will kill me if she's not in bed by 8." James re called, "Did she say that?" "No, but her words were, 'If she's not in bed by 8, your not babysitting again.' And I mean, how can I not want to baby sit her." James ending on a pout. Even though he became an uncle way earlier then he thought, he's obsessed with Molly. "Fine, but your telling her that she has to go to bed."

Finn's alarm went of at 5:45am, and he didn't have to wake up until 7:15am. Him and Piper agreed to wake up an hour earlier to spend some time with Molly. "What the hell is that?" Oliver asked in annoyances, Finn's sharing a room with Oliver and Chase. His two best friends on the team. "What. time. is. it?" Chase asked, kind of snapping with his eyes closed. "Sorry guys, Pipes and I want to spent some time with Molly before we compete." Finn answered with a yawn, "That's fine bro, just be back an hour or two before you go on." Chase mumbled, into his pillow. Waiting for Finn to just turn the darn light back off.

"Hey baby girl, hey." Piper cooed as she picked her daughter up from the crib. "Mama!" Molly exclaimed happily, once in her mother's arms, "Where dada?" Molly asked, "He's here, he just went to the bathroom." Molly nodded, Piper thinks she's starting to understand words now. "Dada!" "Hey Molly girl!" Finn exclaimed happily when seeing his daughter now awake, "Hey so I was thinking, maybe going to the shopping center this morning?" Finn asked, yawning his 10th yawn today, sitting down on the bed, Molly in his lap. "Yeah, she hasn't been shopping yet." Piper replied, "Molly, wanna go shopping with me and Mummy?" Finn asked his daughter gently, "Yeh!" Was the response, but only because it's with mummy and daddy. "If your going shopping I baggsy to come to!" Riley says from behind us, "If your all going I'm coming, I'm not being left behind on my own." James complained, "We can all go!" Piper said to settle it.
Piper eyes the Disney Store, her favorite as a kid. "Finn we have to take her to the Disney Store!" Piper tells her boyfriend. Piper's pushing Molly in her pram, Finn always says he helping her push, but he always puts one of his hands on top of Piper's, not actually helping. "Sure, she's seen Disney movies-" "Thanks to me and James." Piper interrupts, "I thought you said I could watch them with her." James says annoyingly, holding Riley's hand, walking beside his sister.

The two are rehearsing in the blossom room, "5, 6, 7,8 and lift!" Ms.Willow exclaimed, Finn lifted Piper, and when she was on the ground again, she had an aerial and backhand spring sequence, but she stumbled in her aerial. "Shit!" She exclaimed loudly and frustrated. "Pipes, it's okay, you can try it again." Finn try to reassured his girlfriend, Piper tried again, she stumbled very slightly, managing to get into her back handspring, but was stressed after the sequence. "Shit, Finn what I'm I gonna do we don't have that much time left and I'm failing and-" "Piper, how about we can try another sequence. So if you -" "So if I mess up and fail the team, you'll hate me and kick me of?!" Piper yelled, her breathing becoming quicker. "Pipes! That's not what she meant." Finn said softly, Piper scoffed, but since her breathing was becoming quicker, it didn't help. "Piper?" Ms.Willow asked. "I-I -" Piper couldn't get her words out. As tears came down her cheeks, she ran out of the room. "Finn? What's going on?" Ms.Willow asked one of her dancers, "It's a panic attack but I can calm her. I just need to find her." Finn told his dance teacher, who's eyes widened but then nodded to let Finn go.

Piper walked around the center, crying hysterically, having a battle with her breathing. Her hand was over her mouth so no one could hear her sobs. She found a small corner that she crawled into a ball in the floor and cried for what felt like years. "Baby, it's okay I'm right here." She heard a soft voice say. Finn. He took her into his arms, and Piper wrapped her arms around his torso, berried her head into his chest. "Baby, breathe, just breathe. In... and out..." Finn softly calmed her, rubbing her arm gently. "I - I - I can't!" Piper exclaimed through tears, "You can, just follow my breathing okay?" Piper nodded, or tried to anyways. "There you go, you got it. I'm so proud of you." Finn gently said, Piper pulled her head out of his chest, wiping her tears she asked quietly, "You are?" Finn took her hands in his, "Of course I am baby. We've been through so much but you've been through more in the past year. I love you so so much okay?" "Okay." Piper replied. her breathing back to her liking, Piper cupps his face, leaning in slowly and kissed him. Finn kissed her back immediately, tightening his grip on her waist, pulling her closer if possible. Piper pulled away slowly, "I love you too buba." She spoke, stroking his cheek. "Do you understand what Ms.Willow was trying to say now?" Finn asked, kissing her in between words. "Yeah, I'm sorry I freaked out over nothing." "Hey, never be sorry. How many times do I have to say that." Piper giggled, "Sor-" before she let her self finish, she looked down at their interlocked hands, laughing. "Do we know who we're up against?" Piper asked, looking into those eyes she loves so much. "I never thought of that. Shall we look?" Finn asked, kind of confused. "Yeah, think that might be a good idea."
The two walked hand in hand to the bored, "No, no nope-" Finn was reading the teams moving his finger along with the words, "Ah-" "Shit." Piper muttered, interrupting Finn. The bored says, 'The evaluation of dance academy' VS 'The Next Step.' Finn looks down to his girlfriend, "Hey, we're going to beat them!" He reassured Piper, "What if it's Amy and Summer, or Kingston and Lily. We are not -" Piper stopped rambling when she felt Finn's lips on hers. "We will, okay." Finn muttered against Piper's lips. "Yeah, okay."

Riley was super excited, she's not done anything like it before. But both James and Finn are jealous. Riley's sitting next to the Chuck Anderson! "Ugh, I can't believe Riley gets to speak with Chuck -" Piper's giggle cut her boyfriend off. "What? Pipes you know ever since I did that interview I've been wanting to have another one." "Maybe I can ask Riley." Piper teased. Her and Finn are in the wings, with their teams mates about to perform. "Really? Because that would be the best!" Piper rolled her eyes at that but jokingly. The pair are on in two more dance studios go, "Pipes, come here." Finn said grabbing her hand gently, pulling her away from the team. "Where are you-" Olivia starts asking, "Just over here." Finn said softly when they stopped a few steps back. "You ready to perform a dance of a life time baby?" Finn questions. "As ready as I can be I guess, but when I'm with you. And now Molly, everything goes and it's just you two." Piper smiles, Finn pulls her close by the waist. He leans in but is stopped, "You can kiss me after. I'm not going to go on stage late just because I had to re do my make - up." Piper laughed, raising her eyebrows. Finn just brought her in for a massive hug. "We now have, 'The evaluation of dance academy, VS The Next Step!" They hear the judges call out, Piper takes a shaky breathe but she's ready, "First up, The evaluation of dance academy!" All she could hear after the judges her team, is James's cheers for her in the audience, which she swears deafened her! Piper goes to the middle of the stage on her own and gets into position. "Now these two were former member of The Next Step. Let's see if they can beat their old team." Chuck announced, "I know these two really well, so I know they can." Riley announced afterwards. Making A-troupe roll their eyes. The song starts playing and Piper starts dancing. Their dancing to the song 'ghost of you' because the couple thought it would be nice to dance for their daughters. Finn comes onto the stage when he's meant to. The two hear loud cheers from the audience when Finn lifts her, all she needs to do know is her sequence. Piper has a huge smile on her face after she lands it, perfectly. She runs into Finn's arms for the next lift, "They both compliment each other well as this dance is so emotional." Riley says, although she knows what it's about. Piper and Finn finish in each other's arms, "And a beautiful, outstanding performance by 'The evaluation of dance academy!" Chuck announces loudly, "Goose bumps from me, and tears from my co - host Riley Mae." "I mean, how can you not cry at such a beautiful dance such as that one. You could feel it in every step they took." Riley said wiping away a few tears.
Back on the stage, Finn and Piper pull away from their hug, "No can I kiss you?" Finn asks quietly, "When we're of the stage." Piper giggles, that's when she felt Finn drag her of the stage.

Piper felt her back hit one of the dressing tables as Finn walked towards the back when kissing her deeply. Her hands grip to Finn's hair, they hear some sort of announcement, but they didn't understand what is was until after Finn deepens the kiss. "Hey!" Finn says, hands still around his girlfriend's waist. "Sorry bro but the judges want you two back on the stage!" Oliver said, after hitting Finn's head. "Oh, shit. Pipes come on!" Finn said dragging her back on the stage.
Piper cribbed Finn's hand tight as they stood next to Lily and Kingston. "And the winner, of the duet round going forward to the small group is...." the judge paused for a few minutes, making Finn want to start a conversation with Kingston. A-troupe is really nervous, only because they're up against Piper and Finn, if only they hadn't left because then they would have this in the bag. "The Evaluation of Dance Academy!" The judge adds, making Piper's face drop into a huge smile. The crowd goes wild, they won! Finn was right! She felt him bring her into a bear hug, spinning her around.

Kissing her deeply, he opened his hotel room with sneaking his hand behind her waist, getting to the door handle. Finn couldn't wait to kiss Piper until they were in the room, so they snuck away from the team to Finn's room. Once in, Finn kicks the door shut, then he takes his girlfriend's top of before walking towards the bed. A moan came from Piper when her feet hit the bed, making Finn's smile grow bigger. If that's even possible. As he pushed her down gently, and getting on top of her, Piper took Finn's top of. Finn removed his lips from her's to kiss down her jaw line and neck, he felt Piper tugging on his hair and hear little moans escaping her mouth. Even though she's starting to remember this is how she got pregnant the first time, she doesn't stop. "Woah - didn't mean to interrupt anything!" A voice came from the door making Finn jump of off Piper. Chase. "Do you know the word knocking?" Finn asks sarcastically, raising his eyebrows. Olivia's standing next to Chase. "We just wanted to see if you wanted to come to dinner to celebrate your win?" Then added, "But it seems like you found a way to celebrate already." making Chase laugh next to her, "We'll be at the lobby in 10. Don't tell the team what you just walked in on." Finn said going to close the door. Finn turns backs to Piper, leaning his head on the door. "Pipes I'm so sorry they walked in. I completely forgot they had their own key." he apologized, "Hey, it's okay." Piper re assured her boyfriend, getting of the bed closer to him. "But -" before he could finish, Piper reached her hand up to Finn's cheek and started stroking it, "Buba, it's really okay. And hey, maybe after we come back from dinner we can sneak of again eh?" Piper suggests, "I love you and yeh. But why not now?" Finn puts in his request, "I love you too but we have to meet the team." "I told them we'd be down in 10." Finn raised his eyebrows, Piper chuckles before re connecting their lips.

After dinner, the team decided they wanted to go ice skating. It was a lot of fun, and luckily no one got injured. Even though the girls talked about 'the dance moms episode.' when the ALDC went skating. Coming back into the hotel, "Sorry." Piper said as she bumped into, "Piper?" "Amy?" Piper didn't know what to say, "Hi-" Finn said sheepishly, "Hi." Amy replied, "Sorry to ask but um, can we talk?" Amy asked nervously, "W-why would you want to talk?" Piper questioned, "To path things up? If that's okay with you?" Before Piper could answer, Finn and her heard the team, Olivia came next to the couple. "We're going to watch a movie in your's Chase, and Oliver's room because it's the biggest. You two -."  Olivia's eyes moved to someone she didn't know, "Uh yeah, but I'll be there in a bit." Piper answered. "You sure?" Her boyfriend asked, squeezing her hand. "Yeah."
Amy left her suitcase with Summer when she sat down on a table with Piper opposite her, "Before you start I just want to say I'm sorry." Piper said, Amy shook her head, "Why are you sorry? I hit your baby and said all of those mean things. I'm the one that's meant to be sorry and I am, very. I know it took me so long to recognize it but I am. Do you forgive me?" Amy pleaded. Piper thought for a moment, "I don't know, but, I have kind of missed you." "I'll do anything. Please, I miss my best friend." Amy said sadly. Piper sighed, "Why don't we hang out? Go to the movies once you win nationals?" That's when Piper's eyes widened, "You don't know?" Piper asked worriedly, "Don't know what?" Amy asked confused, "Me and Finn no longer live where we used to. We live in California now." Amy looked terrified, "So you no longer live in Canada?" Amy asks with a shaky breath, "N-no." Piper stuttered. The red head tilted her head, "I'm so -" "You don't have to." Piper interrupted her, "I do, and I am.  We have so many memories and I feel so bad for throwing them away." "Aimes! We have to go, the bus is here!" Henry called out, "Uh, she my girlfriend. So you don't get to call her 'Aimes'" . The two girls heard Summer snap, making then laugh. "Come and visit? And with Molly, I promise I won't lay a hand on her this time." Amy offered standing up, "I don't know but, are we good again?" Piper asked, "Yeah, if that's what you want." Piper answered by hugging her. She's reunited with Amy, and that's all she could of asked for.
