Chapter 4. Unexpected reunions

- Flash back -
Deborah was collecting the rubbish from her children's room, she's cleaned Leah's and James and now Piper's. As she puts the rubbish in the bag, she drops something, "Oh-" she mutters, 'Why is James hiding a pregnancy test in Piper's bin?' She questions her self, not picturing it. "James!" She calls, "Yeah?!" He questions from down stairs where all the siblings are making lunch together, "Can you come up stairs please!' James appears upstairs, "Where are you- ah, found you, what's up?" The oldest sibling asks his mum, Deborah turns around and passes the positive pregnancy test, "Why did you hide it in your sister's room?" James looks at it confused, then up to his mum, "This isn't mine? Plus if we did do it it would be at Riley's because she'd be-" James stops himself when Deborah gives him a look, the boy clears his throat, "It could be Leah's? She's in a relationship?" James suggest. "Leah!" Deborah calls, "Coming!" Leah calls up, when figuring out the pregnancy test isn't Leah's, or James's , they call up their youngest daughter who stiffens as soon as she sees what her mum's holding, "Piper, I really hope this isn't yours but it isn't one of these two-" Deborah starts, pointing at Leah and James, "- and I wish I regret asking you but, is it yours? Are you pregnant?" Piper's terrified, and you can easily tell by the look on her face, "Umm, I- Umm." Piper can't get her words out, James and Leah look at each other as their sister struggles with trying to say something, "Piper are you pregnant or not?!" James shouts, the brunet eyes shoot right to her brother, with a scared look, which James immediately softens, "Piper?!" Deborah and Leah exclaimed, "I - uhh, I -" She tries again, and again, but eventually, she gets the words out. "Ye- yes." "As Finn the dad I hope because other wise you'll be a dirty little -" Leah exclaims, James cutting her off, "Of course Finn is the dad! I don't love anyone else like I love him!" Piper shouts, tears starts to come to Piper's mum's eyes, "But, yo - your 16, your too young."  tears start to spring from Piper's eyes, "I know, I know but -" "No buts Piper! Have you told Finn yet!" Leah yells, James is surpassingly calm, "No, I only found out last week!" Piper exclaims, tears fully coming down now. Leah rises her eyebrows before calling for someone, "Dad! Piper's got something she wants to tell you!" "Leah!" James exclaims, "What! I can't believe your not freaking out about this!" "Freaking out about what?" "Nothing!" Deborah says as she hides the pregnancy test behind her back. "What you got there Deb?" Austin asks, pointing behind her back, "Umm-" Deborah's cut of by Leah, "Piper's positive pregnancy test!" "Her what!" Austin roars, "You three-" he points at his wife, and two older kids, "Out!" He screams, "Leave the test Deborah!" He says holding out his hand. When the three are out and the door is shut, he turns to his youngest child, she's crying like crazy but he needs too talk to her, "I am so disappointed in you, you see this?" He points to the stick, Piper nods nervously backing up to the wall, "This, this can't be true!" He shouts, "It - it - is" Piper stutters, Austin groans and then hits his daughter in the face, making her groan and cry more, "Oh just shut up! Do you know how disappointed I am in you! How much I hate you!" He roars, slapping her again, James is watching the scene as  the crack of the door that's open, Deborah and Leah went downstairs. "Tomorrow you are telling that boyfriend of yours and your breaking up with him! Got it!" "No, I'm not - not breaking you with him!" Piper cries whilst shouting, which causes her dad to hit her again, he then grabs her throat, pulling her up of the ground, James's eyes widen, tears starting to flow from his eyes, "You'll do as I say or I'm forcing you to orbit the baby!" He shouts, Piper struggles to breathe and silently cries, Piper shakes her head 'no', which was a mistake as Austin holds her tighter and Piper groans more, "After I put you down, your going to call Finn in front of me, or else you no longer live here!" He roars, he pushes her tighter against the wall one last time before dropping her to the floor, James catches his breath when his father let's go of his sister, he moves out of the way so he doesn't see him, but he locks Piper's door so he can't rescue his sister.

Piper's been awake for around an hour now, Oscar protecting her bump is the funniest and also the cutest, he always tries and bites James's finger when he gives Piper a drink, or even just to pet him. The youngest Parker has been doing school work on the couch since 9:00am and it's 10:20am, James sits next to his sister, her eyes still focused on assignments. since Piper isn't at school, her teachers gave her a bunch of assignments instead, going to try and pet him, Oscar growls at James, "Seriously?" James asks the dog, Piper's 5 months pregnant now, she's missed two appointments with Finn, James and Riley have been going with her instead and her bump is really noticeable now. Piper looks at her brother and pets Oscar behind the ear, his sat on his owner's lap, "I never knew a dog could look up to a person the way Oscar does about you." James nits his eyebrows together, "What?" He asks confusingly with a laugh, "He's protecting my baby like your protecting me, so he's looking up to you." Oscar barks happily as if he's saying 'yes, that's exactly what I'm doing.'  James laughs, "Your smart." Piper chuckles, taking of her reading classes, setting them aside, "What do you want?" She asks her brother, tilting her head, "Nothing, nothing." James whispers the last one, "James!" Piper exclaims, hitting his arm, "Okay, okay, you got me!" James laughs, Piper rises her eyebrows, "So, as you can tell Riles isn't here." Piper nods, in a needy way to find this out, but before James could finish the front door is opening, revealing Riley and, Leah? "Leah?" Piper asks nervously, "Pip- you said she wasn't here!" Leah exclaims to Riley, "Well, uh, James?" Riley asks for her boyfriend's help, Oscar barks happily to see one of his owners, he jumps of off Piper's lap to go to Leah, but only for a second because he forgot about the baby. "Umm, okay so." James had an answer to why he asked Riley to pick Leah up but, it's stuck. "Why am I here James?" Leah asks, not looking at her sister at all, "Look, Pipes has been through tough times and it's almost her 17th so, I thought it would be nice if you because friendly again?" Leah scoffs at her brother, rolling her eyes, "Yeah because 'doing it' " - she uses air quotes, "- is a stressful time!" "Me and Finn broke up!" Piper shouts, Leah looks at her sister, dumb struck, "What?" She asks in disbelief, " 2 months ago, we had this massive fight and I was staying at his for the weekdays but, I just couldn't and the fight, it was the worse." Piper said honestly, a few tears rolling down her face as she spoke, leaning her head to the back of the couch, "And mum and dad came by, trying to ask for me, dad almost took Oscar and -" Piper took a deep breath, petting her dog for comfort as he cuddled up so she would feel loved, "Piper I -" Leah's shocked, she had no idea this was going on. "I'm so sorry." She says softly, full truth in her. "I had no idea I, I shouldn't of acted the way I did, when we found out you were pregnant, I'm sorry." "It's okay, at least you didn't do what dad did." Piper says, crying as she tries to wipe tears away, now looking at her sister, "What did he do?" Leah asks, Piper shakes her head "I, don't like talking about it." Piper breathes, a minute passes with silence, but it's not awkward. Leah looks up from the floor to see her sister's tears have gone, so she asks, "Do you forgive me?" Piper looks up in surprise, "What?" "Do you forgive me?" Another silence is flown in but only for a few seconds because Piper's run into her sister's arms and hugs her tight. But not too tight because of her baby, soft smiles land on Riley and James's faces.

"Wait so, how was it?" 3 hours later the sisters are better then ever, "What, oh my god I'm not telling you that!" Piper exclaims, Leah's trying to get the details from her littler sister, their both on the couch, Piper finished the assignments she had to get done for today, "Seriously, so your little sister has -" "Don't say it!" Piper interrupts her older sister, "Fine, you 'did it' , and you your not telling me about it!" Leah exclaims, faking a pout by crossing her arms over her stomach, "Leah give it up, I'm not telling you how the night went." Piper laughs, Leah laughs too. It's good that they're back. "Anyways, your birthday's coming up, is there anything particular you want?" Leah asks her younger sister, "To see Finn." Piper says softly tilting her head, Leah gives a look making Piper continue, "I know he broke up with me but, I miss him. And he should be able to see the baby, I -, I told him he was no longer the dad when we fought and -" Piper thinks for a minute, "I need to call him...."
