Ch 49- braces off

It was career day at school and the day I get my braces off. I went with a dentist as my career as you know my brother is one. I don't know why the dental career sounds quite interesting to me. But I also kind of want to be a orthodontist because braces you know are cool but are not fun to have also the dentist sounds cool I can't decide!
Soon I presented my project and I made sure it was really good. I think I sounded pretty good. After I was done my whole class clapped for me which made me smile and blush a bit.

Soon it was time to leave the school bell rang and Andrew walks up to me. We've been talking a little bit. I didn't have swim team today.
"Hey wanna hang out after school?" He asks

"Sorry I can't I'm actually about to get my braces off" I say

"Oh how about after?" He asks

"Maybe" I say

He gave me his number and winked at me.
Then walked away.

I grabbed my bag and headed for the door and to the car park where Charlie was waiting in his car for me and I hop in.

"Good day?" He says

"Yea actually a cute boy asked if I wanted to hang out after my brace removal" I say

"Of course it is I'll order pizza" Charlie says and begins the drive to the office.

We soon arrive to the office and park the car and head inside and take a seat in the waiting room. A few minutes later Mike comes out with a girl and waved bye to her and now turns his gaze towards me and smiles

"Ready?" He asks

"Yea" I say

We go on back to the exam room. Then the process began. He first reclined the chair places a bib on me and places on his gloves and mask. Then positions the light

He first looks at them with a mirror and explorer then grabs some tools. Then began removing the wire which happened every fast then all the wire was out of my mouth.

"I'm gonna start removing the brackets and I'm gonna use a mouth prop to help me get the back teeth okay?" He says

I nod and he places the mouth prop in.
This took a bit there was only a little bit of pressure. Then he removes the bands on my back teeth. Then finally all the braces were gone.

"Alright Shi I promise it won't hurt, just it will feel tingly and like a ice cube rubbing on your teeth. I have to use the drill to remove excess glue and smooth it out then I'm gonna polish your teeth and give a cleaning" he explains

I sigh and let him use the drill. He was right it didn't hurt at all. Just like an ice cube rubbing against my teeth just mostly cold feeling, he also used suction to get the glue dust out of my mouth . Soon he was done with the drill and suction and began polishing my teeth and giving me a cleaning. Then returns the chair to normal state.

"Your almost done, now you just need molds for your retainers" he says picking up the molds

Molds were gross I wasn't that happy about them. Oh well.

He has me open wide and did the molds for 90 secs each finally after 90 secs they were done. He gives me a cup of water to rinse my mouth out. It felt weird without my braces. He told me my retainer will be done tomorrow and Charlie will bring it home after work.

Finally I got up and headed on out ripping the bib off me.

I smiled widely at Charlie and he pulled me in a Hug

We go home I text Andrew about hanging out at my place and gave him my address he is gonna meet us there.

I was actually excited to hang out with a cute guy.
