Ch 17- last day of school field day

Today was the last day of school.. I decided to to dress cute today I can't wear a dress because it is a field day.. my school had one last year and it was a blast.. there was water balloons and bouncy houses and so many other things to do..

I get out of bed and change into my outfit I wore a short sleeved pack laid  flannel and jean shorts and high top converse I take my braids out of my hair which was blonde and my hair was wavy a decided to keep it down and let it flow I also brushed my teeth. I head downstairs and Charlie had breakfast made. He made porridge and fresh cut strawberries.
I ate my breakfast
"You excited for your last day?" Charlie said
"Yea" I say
"Next year is your last year in elementary then your going to middle school" Charlie says
"Wow" I say in a surprised way

After breakfast I grab my bag and headed to school. I arrive and head to homeroom and my teacher explained the agenda for the day.

At 10 o clock is when field day started we all went to the back.. where the playground was and there was so much stuff to Do.. my class had an agenda.
First my class did tug a war with the other 5th grade class we won then we did some more activities.. then we played kickball.. it was not me but some kid in my class had a kickball to the face that kid went to the nurses office and didn't come back i did feel bad for him hopefully he didn't have a tooth knocked out or something..

Then we had lunch time and our families were allowed to come and Charlie decided to come and brought lunch.. he brought some chick fil a which is super duper good.. he ate a chicken strawberry salad and I had my nuggets and fries and a water.
We chatted for awhile and Charlie had to go and the rest of the day was ours.
I did some face paint some water balloons which I got hit with quite a few times and I got Rosie right in the face.. but we were laughing about it so she got me back in the face too.

We did bouncy houses and the school got funnel cakes and cotton candy.. yes I had both.. don't tell Charlie I don't wanna deep cleaning... those aren't fun..

Soon it was the end of the day and we cleaned out our lockers and said goodbye to our teachers and soon enough we all went home..

I got home and Charlie was in the kitchen and I set my stuff down and walk into the kitchen
"Hey" I say
"Hey" he says

"Soo what's up" I say

"Well let me make something clear your getting braces next month and you need a orthodontic examination from Dr. Jones" he says

My mouth dropped open..
