Ch 22- Another checkup

I woke up the next morning it was around 9am I roll over and grab my phone off the charger I check my social media like Snapchat and instagram.
I finally get up out of bed grab some clothes from my dresser and headed to the bathroom and I got dressed, washed my face and brushed and flossed my teeth.
I then head downstairs and saw Charlie in his scrubs sipping some tea.
"Hey Charlie" I say as I walk in
"Hey shi" he says

"What's up" I say

"Well, you got a checkup today" he says

I was grabbing a yogurt pod from the fridge when he said this.
"Oh okay.." I said sadly
"Also.. Shaun will like to tighten your braces" he says
"Really?" I say unhappily
"Yes I'm serious but we are getting school supplies after" he says

I sigh and roll my eyes and eat my yogurt.

A bit later we get ready to go and go to the car and, Charlie drives to the office.

We arrive a in a short amount of time and we get out of the car once he parks his car. We head inside the office, say hi to the receptionist and head on back to the exam room.

Once we get to the exam room I take a seat in the chair. He washes his hands. "First things first, I am gonna take xrays, you've had them done before right?"

I nod

He places the lead jacket on me. He then gets the bite wings and puts them in my mouth one at a time and takes the pictures. The xrays pop up in the computer shortly after and he removes the lead jacket for me and puts a bib on me and his gloves and mask.

He then observed my x-rays and I hear him sigh then reclined the chair back.
"Alright Shi open wide" he says now holding his mirror and explorer and positions the light.

I open wide and he began observing my mouth he wasn't making conversation like he usaully does. He taps one tooth.

I winced

"Well... well... well it looks like you have a tiny cavity..." he says then takes the tools out.

I sit up in the chair.

"How long was it causing you pain?" He asks he sounded annoyed

"It wasn't hurting till you touched it, at least it ain't hurting even after you touched it, it's more of sensitivity" I admit

"Then it might have just formed.. have you been eating any sugar?" He questioned

"A little bit, I always brush though" I say

He sighs

Maybe once I forgot to brush after eating a piece of candy.

"Well... I'm gonna brush your teeth then Shaun is gonna come do your braces and we will get the cavity filled tomorrow if that's alright" he says now preparing the stuff for the cleaning

"What kind of toothpaste you want?" He asks

"Bubblegum duh" I say kind of in a passive aggressive mood. I knew he wasn't happy with me right now.

"Geez, watch that sass" he warns

I roll my eyes then grabs the pod of toothpaste and toothbrush

"Open wide" he says

He begins the cleaning. He wasn't rough. He still brushed the tooth with the small cavity, it wasn't painful but it was more like sensitive.

He finally flossed my teeth then he finishes with everything then Shaun walked in. Charlie removes his gloves and mask. I think he was just gonna observe Shaun.

Charlie got up from the stool and sat on the assistant stool. Shaun took the dentists stool.

"Hello Shiloh how are you?" Shaun asks

"I'm doing alright" I say

He grabs his mirror and explorer and tells me to open my mouth.
I open my mouth and does a quick observation before grabbing other tools and starts removing the wire and bands.

"What colors you want this time?" Shaun asks

"Charlie you can choose" I say and smile at Charlie

"How about bubblegum pink" Charlie says

I gave him a thumbs up.

Shaun then grabs the wire and places it on my brackets and the same thing with the bands. Then he checks over then I was finished.

"All done you did very good" Shaun says takes his gloves and mask off and returns the chair to normal state and even takes off my bib. Then he leaves the room

"Alright you ready to go school supply shopping?" Charlie asks

"Yea!" I say

My mouth was a bit sore but that didn't stop me from going school supply shopping.

We go to the store and I pick out cute school supplies with glitter and puppies and kitties and other things.

We spend about 60 dollars on school supplies which wasn't bad then me and Charlie stop for food then go home

I put all my supplies in my new back pack.

The next day.. ow as gonna get my cavity filled and I am not excited... I know Charlie wasn't to happy with me

Then next week on Monday I start 5th grade and that is exciting!
