Continuous problems

To her disappointment Rose had woken up to an empty bed, but her disappointment went as soon as it came when she smelled the delicious smell of food being cook. She knew that last night was just one simple hook-up, and it surely wouldn't steer her to get over August so quickly, but she needed him last night. The last thing she wanted to do was spend another night alone, confined to her condo, and drowning in her own self-pity. 

" Rose, you up?" Mike yelled, as he rounded the corner to her room. He smiled when he saw her, and made his way over to the bed. " How did you sleep last night?"

Rose looked at him, and smirked. " I slept very good last night all thanks to you," she said to him. " I really appreciate you staying the night with me, and pretty much for everything you have done for me."

" Ah, it's nothing." He replied. " I just really care about you, and I even though I have been the cause to many of your problems I really do hate to see you hurt. You're such a strong woman," he smiled.

" Thanks," she responded.

" No, problem. Now, I'm in there cooking up some breakfast for us so I suggest you get up, get yourself together, and get in there before it gets cold. Then we're going to have some serious problems," he chuckled.

Rose laughed right along with him, and she stood up. " Okay, well I'm going to take a quick shower really quick then I'll be in there."

Mike nodded, and just licked his lips when she stood up. She was still naked, and now he didn't give a damn if the breakfast got cold. He could surely go another round for hot sex like last night. " You want me to join you?"

Rose laughed, " You're drooling! I'm alright though I'll be in and out before you know it."

" I could be in and out too if you let me," he added, pulling her close to him and cupping on her naked ass.

" I'm sure you would," she laughed, " But, I really do need a shower. Maybe another time," she smiled, planting a kiss on his cheek. " Besides you're going to burn down my kitchen," she told him, when the smoke detector went off.

Mike snapped out of his trance, and he quickly jumped up and ran into the kitchen. " Oh shit! "

Rose laughed, and she watched him leave. Even though last night was great she couldn't help but feel a bit guilty that she slept with him only to get back at August, and even at the same time he was making love to her she couldn't help but think it was August doing the things he was doing to her. Sighing, she pulled out her phone and sent of a quick message to Ashley and Loren before hoping in the shower.

Minutes later she was out, and fully dressed. Making her way to the kitchen she was very much surprised to see Ashley and Loren, but not Mike. " Hey, um where did Mike go?"

" Hey, he got a text message from somebody and was just out of here the moment we arrived. He told us to tell you that he would see you later though," Ashley informed.

Rose nodded her head, and she made her way over to them. She wrapped her arms around Ashley, before pulling back and staring at Loren. " I just want to say sorry for what I said to you the other day Lo. I was way out of line, and you both have been the only people who has been here for me through it all. I had no right to say what I said to you the other day, and I apologize. Do you forgive me?" she asked.

Loren eyed her hard before breaking out into a smile, and pulling her into a hug. " Of course I forgive you. I'm not going to let one little disagreement break us up," she said, planting a kiss on her cheek.

Rose let out a sigh of relief, and she hugged her tightly. " Thank you God. I don't know what I would do with out you," she smiled. " Now, eat up. Mike made all this food, and now he's not here to eat it with me."
