"You were so good, today! I wish I could act the way you can," you fawn to Helena as you're walking down the street, on your way to dinner.
"Trust me, dear, you'll get there. You're amazing for where you're at, being able to cry on the spot like that," she tells you comfortingly, "I just hope I didn't emotionally scar you".
"Of course not. It's just acting," you say professionally.
"I hope it's okay that I picked the restaurant," she said, "I know you're not from here".
"As a native New Yorker, I am thoroughly glad to have a local show me around," you joke.
"It's just another block".
"That's okay, I don't mind walking". You look at her and smile, maybe a little too much. Shit, stop looking in her eyes. I'm falling in love. I need to stop. She's straight. She lives in London. She's about 30 years older than you. But she's so prettyyyyy. Ah, stop!
"Here we are. What do you think?" You looked around. It was outside, which high, marble tables and fairy lights.
"Beautiful," you say, mostly looking at her. A waitress came over and got you set up at a table.
"I'm getting shepherds pie. I've been obsessed ever since I got here," you tell Helena.
"That sounds good. I think I'll get one too," she says as the waitress comes back over to take orders. After the orders are taken, you sit in silence for only a moment, even though it feels longer. What are we supposed to talk about anyway? She's so famous and I'm well...not.
"So, love, tell me, is this your first film?" she asks, breaking the silence.
"Well, my first one that's making it off of YouTube. And the first one that has A-listers like you," you answer, unable to stop your subtle flirting. She laughs.
"Thank you. And YouTube is a great place to start now. What do you think of filming?"
"Oh, it's so fun. I love being in front of the camera. Also, I get a trailer," you joke.
"Ah yes, one of my favorite perks. I also love watching everything that happens behind the scenes, don't you?" she asks.
"Yeah, it's so interesting".
"I hope this isn't strange, but I was curious where you're staying?"
"Just at a hotel".
"That must be getting rather expensive, is it?" she asked kindly.
"Yeah, I might be spending all my paycheck on the hotel," you half-joke.
"If you'd like, you can stay at my house. I have an extra room".
"I couldn't impose. What about your kids, I wouldn't want to get in the way of their routine," you say, really hoping she insists. You don't want to seem too eager, but this is kind of your dream.
"They stay at their dad's when I film. It's really not a problem, I'd love to have you". YAYYYY.
"Then I'd love to go! Thank you so much, you won't even know I'm there".
"Well, that would be a shame. Invite my friend to stay and not know she's there?" she jokes, smiling. You blush and smile back.Authors Note: Just some more fluff because I'm manifesting meeting Helena when my sister and I go to London next year and immediately asking for her hand in marriage. Hope you liked this, next chapter is going to be very gay!
