"You did amazing today," Helena gushed, shutting the door as you walked into the apartment.
"Thank you," you said, blushing. Her compliments were different than anyone else's.

"It gets easier the second day, doesn't it?" she asked. She threw down her bag, then sat on the couch. You sat down next to her, taking her hand for no other reason other than that you liked to touch her in any way possible.
"It does. Everyone on set is so nice, too".
"They better be," she insisted, making you laugh.

"Oh, I have to get ready," you told her, looking at the clock. You were meeting Rachel in a half hour, and with city traffic, you'd end up being late anyway.
"When are you meeting your friend?"
"7," you said, but paused before continuing, "Hellie I have to tell you something".

"What is it?" she asked gently.
"You know Rachel?"
"Well no, but I know of her existence," she said, making you laugh in spite of yourself.
"She's not just an old friend," you continued seriously, "she's my ex".

"I figured," she replied, but her voice sounded defeated.
"You did?" you asked, confused.
"You got really awkward every time she's been mentioned," Helena told you, and judging by her tone, she wasn't new to this.

"I'm really sorry about this," you began, holding her hand even tighter.
"Sorry you lied or sorry you got caught," she asked. Her tone was straightforward but not cold, and she didn't pull her hand away. What she was saying to you sounded rehearsed, and you knew she went through all of this before with Tim. It stung, but you knew you deserved it.

"Sorry I lied," you insisted, "I really don't know why I even did it. I guess I just didn't want to mess everything up. I love you and I love us".
"But you created more drama by lying," she pointed out, which was true.
"I know and I'm really, really sorry. You're the only person I've ever been in love with. I know it's not an excuse, but I'm kinda new at this".
She nodded. "I understand that".

"Do you forgive me?" you asked hopefully.
"Promise to never lie again?"
"Of course. I promise".
"Then yes, I forgive you. I love you, too," she relented, kissing your cheek, "just one question".

"What is it?"
"Why are you meeting up with her?" she asked.
"I left things badly. I wanted to leave my life here behind when I got that job offer in London. It was just easier to cut things off. I broke up with her the night before I left. It was a total shitty thing for me to do, and I know that, but I still feel really bad," you explained.

"That doesn't sound like you," she commented.
"I was different back then. Ever since I moved to London, left my toxic family, got a serious acting job, and most importantly, met you, I feel like I grew".
She smiled. "So I changed you for the better?"
"You really did," you said, kissing her gently.

"You should go shower. Can I join you?" she asked.
"You want you?" your voice flooded with relief since you didn't think she would ask because of the fight.
"Of course. I have to give you some hickeys so she knows you're taken," she teased.
"I like that," you told her happily.

You walked with her into the bathroom, shutting the door behind you. You went over to change the temperature, making the water warm. Once you were done, you turned around to find your girlfriend taking off the last of her clothes. You couldn't help but stare.
"What?" she asked, a blush growing on her face from your staring.

"You're so perfect," you told her, walking over and wrapping your hands around her neck.
"You're getting distracted," she said, gesturing to the running water. She started taking off your clothes, kissing you softly as she did.
"Of course I am," you replied, "if you weren't so pretty, maybe I wouldn't get so distracted".
"Oh, so this is my fault?" she joked, kissing your neck softly as she took off your last piece of clothes.
"Yes," you said, laughing.

"Get in," she told you, nodding her head to the shower. You did what she said, then she got in after you, closing the glass door. She got some soap off the shelf, lathering it up in her hands. Starting with your arms, she started spreading it around your body.
"That feels good," you hummed, your voice breathy. Once she was done, you went under the water to rinse off.

She cupped your face in her hands, kissing you softly.
"I love you," she said. You felt butterflies in your stomach, and you melted into her arms.
"I love you, too". She kissed you again, this kiss more passionate than the last one. She flicked her tongue across your mouth, and you opened it to allow her tongue entrance. She wrapped her hands around your body, pushing you up against the wall of the shower.

You only broke apart when you both needed the breath. She began to pepper kisses all over your neck. Once she found your sweet spot, she sucked at it, nibbling it gently. Her hands roamed your body, going to your sides and stopping at your thighs.
"Perfect," she said, moving away from your neck to nibble your ear. You brought your hand up to your neck, feeling the marks she had made.

She grazed one hand over your throbbing heat, and you felt yourself thrust forward towards her without even meaning to.
She smirked. "So that's what you want," she teased.
"Oh Hellie, please," you begged as her hand pushed a little deeper.

Luckily, she wasn't in the mood to tease you much. Her brown eyes filled with lust at your begging, she thrust her two fingers inside of you. You moaned as she pushed them in deeper, hitting your spot.
"That feels good, baby girl?" she asked, her pet name giving you even more pleasure and butterflies.

You let out another moan in response as she added another finger. She kissed your lips again, and was met with an eager kiss back. Her other hand was on your upper thigh, while yours were pressed against her back. She moaned as you scratched her accidentally.

"Oh god, I'm gonna," you began, but your sentence was cut off by an uncontrollable moan as you started to cum. She fingered you through it, kissing you and murmuring sweet praises.
"Good girl, love," she said, sending butterflies in your stomach. She rested her head on your shoulder once you finished, you panting.

"I made some good marks," she told you, swiping her finger over your neck. You giggled.
"I'm only yours," you reassured her.
She nodded. "I know". She shut the water off after a moment, then got out to get you both towels. You stepped out of the shower, and she wrapped you up in it, holding you in her arms.

You left the bathroom to get dressed a few minutes later. It didn't take you long, and soon you were heading out the door.
"I hope everything goes well," Helena said, seeing you out.
"I'll let you know," you told her, leaning up to kiss her one more time, "I love you".
"Love you too," she replied, then you were on your way.

By the time you got to the bar, you were a half hour late. You felt bad, but there was nothing you could do about it now. You also wouldn't have traded any of that time with your girlfriend for the world.

"Y/n, you made it," Rachel called, and you walked over to her, "I thought you were standing me up".
"No, sorry," you said, sitting down on the stool next to her, "just got caught up". With that, you were ready for your night of reconnecting to begin.

Authors note: sorry it took me forever to update. I know this chapter is called The Ex and she's only in one paragraph, but I felt like writing smut. We'll get to her next time.
