While Helena is at work, you spend the day walking around London, trying to find a romantic place for you to eat. Finally finding a fine dining establishment, you book a reservation for 8, giving her time to settle in once she gets home from filming. Really trying to impress her, you decide to up your romance game. On the way home, you pass a flower stand. Perfect, you think, and you order a dozen red roses. The lady at the flower shop doesn't ask you any questions, although you're dying to tell someone about your date. You don't plan on telling anyone who it's with, as you're unsure if Helena wants people to know, but you're so excited and you want to at least tell someone you have a date with your crush. You check out with your roses and continue your walk home. Suddenly, you smell chocolate wafting from a nearby shop. Flowers and chocolate, very romantic, you think. Okay, maybe it's a little corny, but you think she'll appreciate it.
"Can I have the heart-shaped box of chocolates, please?" you say to the guy behind the counter. He nods and rushes off to fill a box for you, and you get assorted chocolates, not sure what Helena's favorite is.
"Someone got themself a date tonight," he comments. You smile.
"Yeah, with this woman I've had a crush on forever".
"Well," he says, ringing you up, "congratulations, and good luck". You thank him and walk home to change. You spend the rest of the day getting ready. You take a long shower, then try out a hundred different hairstyles. You end up curling it and doing a half up half down look. You also take forever to do your makeup, in an attempt to look absolutely perfect. You're putting on a light green dress when you suddenly hear the door open downstairs.
"Y/n, I'm home!" you hear Helena call, "oh my goodness, what's all this?" You smile, knowing she saw the presents you got her. You put them on a table by the door, wanting her to see them as soon as she got in.
"Hellie," you call as if it was months, not hours, since the last time you saw her. You ran over to her and she pulled you into a hug. You completely relaxed into her body. Her hands felt comforting around your body. You played with her hair, which was soft. Pulling away, you kissed her softly on the lips. She moved her hands against your back, pulling you in closer as she kissed you hungrily.
"Now, seriously, what is that?" she asked as you pull apart, pointing to the table. You giggled.
"Just some flowers and chocolate. It's our first date, I have to romance you". She laughed, opening up the box of chocolates.
"Oh caramel," she said, taking a bite of one, "the flowers are beautiful, would you mind putting them in a vase?" she asked, pointing to a shelf above the sink.
"Sure".
"I'm gonna get ready. You look beautiful, by the way. That color looks stunning on you". You blush, kissing her softly on the cheek."I'm ready," she calls about 20 minutes later, walking downstairs. You look at her, and you actually gasp. She's wearing a navy blue dress, red lipstick, and has her hair twisted up. She laughs at your gaze.
"You thoroughly made me speechless," you say after a moment. She giggled and blushed.
"Let's go," she said, taking your hand."Reservation for y/n, 8 o'clock please," you tell the hostess. They are, however, too busy staring at your date.
"You're Helena Bonham Carter," they say, giving her that same dumbstruck look you do. You roll your eyes.
"Yes, nice to meet you," she says, sweetly.
"Can you sign this?" the hostess asks, thrusting a piece of paper toward her. At least it's not her ass, you think bitterly. Finally, you're led off to the table.
"So this is what it's like dating an A-lister," you comment once you're alone.
"Yeah, soon you'll be a huge star and we will be a celebrity power couple," she says, smiling.
"I've been meaning to ask you, what do you want to do with the press? Like is it okay if people know about us?"
"I want people to know. At this point, I already have fans and they'll be supportive of me if they actually care".
"That's true. Plus, it'll probably take forever for the media to realize we're not just friends".
"And roommates," she jokes, making you cackle so loudly that almost everyone in the restaurant looks at you. You blush in embarrassment. She rests her hand on top of yours, and it stays that way for the rest of the evening.Authors Note: look at me regularly updating this story! Next chapter may or may not be smut not entirely sure yet.
