Only Three Days

You woke up early with Helena to accompany her to the airport. It wasn't a long drive, but you didn't want to miss a second of time with her. Sitting in the backseat with her, you took her hand in yours.

"Thanks for coming with me," she said, looking into your eyes.
"Of course. I'm gonna miss you," you snuggled into her shoulder.
"Me too, love," she kissed the top of your head, "but it's only three days".
"It'll be tough to sleep without you".
"I can call you before you go to bed," she suggested.

"What about the time difference?"
"I don't care. It'll be so strange being in our house without you".
"Our house," you repeated, smiling. She pulled you closer and kissed the top of your head, cuddling you until you got to the airport. She looked especially adorable today, with a floral dress, a puffy jacket, and her hair up with clips.

"We're here," the driver called, "would you like me to get your suitcase out of the trunk?"
"I got it," you volunteered, getting out of the car.
Helena followed you, shutting the door behind her. "You don't have to," she said, but you were already getting her suitcase out.
"Yes I do," you insisted, "you're going away for three whole days and I won't be able to do things for you".
She laughed. "Well, thank you," she said, taking the suitcase from you. She pulled you into a hug, and you breathed her in for as long as you could.

You cupped her face in your hands, kissing her deeply. She wrapped her hands around your neck, and you tasted her one last time.
"I'll miss you, my love," she told you once you broke apart, your hand still caressing her face.
"I'll miss you too. Call me when you land, ok?"
"I will," she said, kissing you quickly one last time before turning around and leaving. You watched her for as long as you could until she disappeared into the crowd.

Your driver took you right to work since you had just taken a day off and couldn't afford to be late.
"Good morning," Julie said once you got to work, flagging you down before you went into your trailer, "is Helena back in London?"
"I just took her to the airport. She told you about the meeting?" you asked.
"Yeah. I really hope they make that spin-off," she said excitedly.
You laughed. "Me too".

"It's weird not having her hear. We always talk about you when you're filming".
"Oh god, all bad?"
Julie laughed. "Absolutely not. Helena really loves you, I'm sure you know. It's so great seeing her in such a good relationship".
You blushed. "I just like seeing her happy".
Julie nodded. "Good. I'll see you once Stan is done with your makeup".

"Hey, gorgeous!" Stan greeted.
"Good morning," you threw your bag aside and sat down.
"Where's your pretty girlfriend?" he asked.
"She's flying back to London for a meeting. They might make a spin-off of The Crown," you explained.
"Oh my god, they better!" he exclaimed.
You laughed. "That's what I said".

"So, you're a bachelor for a couple nights," he joked.
"I wish I wasn't," you replied, "I'll miss her".
"Why don't you hang out with your castmates? Do you like them?"
"Mostly. I like Axel and Penny".
"I heard Raven is a bit of a challenge".
"She hates me! She thinks I only got this job because of Helena".
"Well, you'll just have to prove her wrong," Stan advised confidently.

Once he finished your makeup, you walked out onto set. You were filming scenes with Axel today, where you had to flirt with and kiss his character.
"Hey y/n," Axel called, walking up to you calmly, unlike your nervous self.
"Hey," you replied.
"I'm having a party tonight, do you want to come? I already texted Penny and she's gonna bring her fiancé".

"That'll be fun! Thank you".
"Stan told me you're gonna be alone tonight anyway," he added, making you laugh.
"Word travels fast," you joked.
"With Stan, definitely," he joked back.
"You know, I like our friendship, so the stuff we have to film isn't going to make anything weird, right?" you asked.
He shook his head. "We're both in committed relationships".
