You were putting your finishing touches on your makeup when the doorbell rang.
"Love, come downstairs," Helena called. You quickly put away the tube of lipstick that you had been holding, then walked down the stairs. You took a deep breath, gathering yourself before entering the room.
"My dear, you look lovely," your girlfriend complimented, immediately putting you at ease.
"Thank you," you said softly, kissing her cheek.

She took your hand and opened up the door, and her face erupted into a smile when she saw who was there.
"Cate!" she exclaimed, ushering her inside and giving her a hug.
"Darling, I missed you," she said, hugging her back and kissing her on the cheek.
"I want you to meet y/n," Helena said once they finished hugging, and you waved.
"So this is the y/n I've heard so much about!" she greeted, "Helena, you were right. She's gorgeous, much more attractive than Tim".

You blushed at the compliment, even though it really wasn't hard to be more attractive than Tim. She was even more gorgeous in person, and you had to admit you were a bit intimidated, but her compliment put you at ease.
"I know, let's just say my taste changed a bit," your girlfriend joked, "is Sandy coming?" she asked Cate.
She nodded. "She'll be right in, we brought a gift for you two". They came together, you thought, reminding yourself to ask Helena if they were secretly dating later.

Sandra came in a moment later, rushing to hug and greet Helena. After catching up with her for a minute, she turned to you.
"Y/n, you're just as beautiful as Helena described!" she exclaimed, pulling you into a hug.
"Thank you," you said with a smile. She handed the bag she was carrying to you.
"We wanted to bring you both a gift," she said, and you pulled out three poetry books from the bag, "Hellie told us how much you like to read together".

"We do, thank you!" you said, going over to show your girlfriend the books. She led them into the sitting room, leafing through the pages.
"Look, love, my favorite poem is in here," she pointed to the page.
"'Warning'?" you ask, "I don't think we've ever read it together".
"Tonight?" she asked, and you nodded.
"Oh, are they dating?" you pointed to the other two women in the room.
"We all think they are, but they never said anything," she whispered.
"Ocean's 8 is one hell of a queer movie, isn't it?" you joked, making her laugh.

"So y/n," Cate began as you sat down on the couch in front of her and Sandra, "Helena told us you met on set?" You nodded, explaining the story of how you and your girlfriend met while she got glasses of champagne for the four of you.
"A toast to my new favorite couple," Sandra announced, raising her class once you had finished your story.
"I'll drink to that," Helena said, making you blush as she took your hand.

The doorbell rang again, and she rushed to go get it.
"Y/n, can you put on some music?" she asked, and you got up to do that. You were putting on a playlist when you heard a male voice at the door.
"Oh my god, it's the master of the house and Adolfo Pirelli," you joked, your mouth agape seeing Sacha in your doorway.

He laughed, walking over to you. "And you must be the lovely y/n I've heard so much about".
You smiled. "That's me".
"Careful, or my little love will make you get up and start singing," Helena joked, wrapping her arms around your waist. You blushed at the pet name, she had never called you that before and you loved it.
"I'd gladly give a performance," he said, and you looked towards Helena excitedly.
"Don't encourage her," she teased, swatting the man's arm playfully.

"Who else is coming?" you asked her a few minutes later once he left to mingle with other guests.
"I invited Johnny but he couldn't make it so it'll just be Olivia, Vanessa, and Sarah," she told you.
"Vanessa Kirby?" you asked and she nodded, "I already met her".
"Yes, I know, I figured you would be more comfortable if someone you already knew was coming," she explained, and you kissed her cheek.

As if on command, the doorbell rang and revealed the two actors from The Crown.
"Y/n, darling, it's so good to see you again!" Vanessa exclaimed, hugging you tightly.
"You too!"
"And this is Olivia," she introduced once she let go of you.
"It's so nice to finally meet Helena's girl," she said, giving you a warm smile.

You and the group chatted for a while, talking and laughing about all sorts of things. They included you in every conversation, and you were happy to get along with everyone so well. About an hour later, Helena volunteered to refill drinks. You watched her walk into the kitchen, then casually excused yourself to join her.
"Hey," you said softly, wrapping your arms around her waist and snuggling your face into her neck, breathing her in.

"Hello, my love," she put her hand on yours, spinning around to face you.
"This is really fun," you told her, "everyone's so nice".
She nodded, kissing your forehead. "You know you're my best friend, right?"
You blushed, nodding your head. "And you're mine". She brushed your hair out of your face, then leaned down to kiss your lips tenderly and passionately.

You wrapped your hands around her neck, pulling her closer. She flicked her tongue across your bottom lip, making you open your mouth for her access. She gently moved you against the counter, her body moving flush against yours. You moaned as her tongue entered your mouth, and you felt a smirk on her lips. Her hands were rough against your back, moving you even closer to her body. As the kiss continued to heat up, you wrapped your leg around her, her thigh satisfying the part where you needed her most.

Suddenly, you heard a cough from the doorway. Flustered, you broke apart like you were teenagers getting caught making out. Helena giggled when she saw you covered in her lipstick, then look towards who was at the door.
"Sorry to interrupt," Sarah said, and you awkwardly waved, "they told me you would be in here".
"Well, you found us," Helena joked, "come in".
"You must be y/n! And if you're not, Helena has some serious explaining to do" she said, and you laughed.
"Don't worry, I'm y/n," you said.
"Well, I can tell Helena is really into you," she teased, making the two of you blush, "I'll let you get back to what you were doing". She left the room with a smirk, leaving you and your girlfriend to erupt into laughter.

Later on, once everyone had left and everything was all cleaned up, you and Helena were laying in bed. You were snuggled into her chest, as she played with your hair, twirling it in between her fingers. She had the book out that Sarah and Cate had gotten you, open to the page with her favorite poem.
"So, you talk about me a lot, huh?" you asked.
She smiled, kissing the top of your head. "Of course I do, darling".
"I love you," you told her, closing your eyes but staying awake so she could still read to her.
"I love you so much," she replied softly, before pulling you closer and starting the poem.
