Chapter 8~The Explosion

"Ok like every morning were going to watch the news and have a discussion on it" said thee home room teacher but Peter wasn't paying too much attention his mind was everywhere.

"Breaking news, a new superhero who had been once sighted with the Avengers is back again, they seem to be leading the prison escapy known as The Vulture to the ocean, The Vulture is armed. We hope to hear good news and hopefully find out more about this fire shooting hero" said the news presenter and then it cut to the weather. Peters eyes widened that was Riley.

Peter made up a excuse that he was ill and was excused from classes for the rest of the day. He quickly suited up and did the first thing he thought sensible. He went to the Avengers tower.

"NO, NO, NO, NO GO BACK TO ASGARD" Tony groaned as he saw Thor walk in. "Everything is fine there so I guessed I'd come see Riley" he said. Then suddenly the window smashed "JESUS PETER WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE" Tony said. Peter didn't know how to explain he just shouted "NEWS TURN ON" he said.

Tony turned on the news and the three of them watched in horror of what had happened. Something had exploded over the ocean. No sight of Riley only the Vulture who had been filmed flying away. The three of them bolted, starting towards the location Riley was. It would take them about 5 minutes.

Riley had gotten to the ocean and then he had caught up she had grabbed at his wing, the metal had sliced her hand and then he aced something on ther shoulder. Only a secound before she realised what it was he had zoomed off, it was a bomb, she threw it away but it was only a few centemetures from her face when it exploded. She was hit and stopped flying, unconscious she fell into the ocean falling to the bottom.

They arrived. Peter scanned the beach. And Thor and Tony went for the ocean. Then thor found her. He grabbed her by the waist and pulled her upto the surface. He swam quickly to the shore. It had been fine minutes. The others came over. He gave her heart compressesions and then she began to breathe her eyes widening.

She leapt up and her fists rose. Even though one hand had been sliced deeply for a secound she held it up and then she swayed and fell. Thor caught her. "Her hand" Peter muttered concerned. Thor ripped a bit off his Cape and rapped it around Rileys hand.

Eventhought she'd been hit with a bomb it hadn't been so bad actualy shed sort of absorbed a bit of it. Her face and arms did have a bit of blistered forming but she new shed be ok. She wrapped herself closer to thor. Eyes shut. She listened to the sound of them flying in the air, thor with his hammer
